The space The house, first built in the late 19th century, belongs to the Aristides family since the early 20th century. It is characterised by its two arches that divide the stone structure in three parts. On the ground floor, the open plan design includes the living room, the kitchen and dining area, an open plan bedroom with a double bed (160x200) and a bathroom with a walk in rain shower. Up the stairs is another bedroom with one double (140x200) and one single bed. There is a courtyard with a large and beautiful mulberry tree providing ample shade during the summer months. Pachna is 35 minutes to either Limassol or Paphos and 15 minutes from Avdimou Beach. The closest supermarket is only two minutes away by car next to the street with the coffee shops. There are two shops in the village. PARKING: It is recommended that guests have a car to stay in Pachna. There is limited public transport. The house has its own parking space for a small/medium sized car. It is easier to reverse into position coming from south to north. Larger SUVs will find it hard to manoeuvre due to the narrow street. Just next door there is a field with space for two cars alternatively next to the olive grove by the rubbish bins. Please keep the metal gates closed when leaving the house. WI-FI: Username: pachnarouter Password: 12345678 *The router works with 4G mobile data. It is relatively fast for Netflix/YouTube/email and it is unlimited. Please do not move it from its location as the signal will be reduced. RUBBISH DISPOSAL: Exit the house to the street. On your left there is a niche on the road with a BLACK TRASH CAN. Please dispose all rubbish bags there, otherwise the cats will tear them. Thank you. AIR CONDITIONING (COOLING / HEATING): There is an AC unit (24K BTU) in the house for both cooling and heating. You can use it as necessary in the summer and winter. LIVING ROOM: Do not use or light a fire in the fireplace. It is not operational only decorative. The TV is a smart TV using Wi-Fi. You can use Netflix, YouTube etc. There is a mini antenna as well to watch local channels, please do not move it as it may lose signal. BEDROOMS: The largest (160x200) and main bed is on the ground floor and will be the one prepared for up to two guests. The beds upstairs are used for the 3rd and 4th guest or children. They will not be prepared unless requested. Be careful when climbing up and down the staircase as it’s quite steep. Upstairs, the area outside is OFF LIMITS and the door must remain locked for safety reasons as there is no railing. You can open the windows of course as you wish for air and light and close them when leaving the house. OUTSIDE: There are two houses on the same plot belonging to the same family. Both are vacation homes and are not used daily. The yard area is shared between the two houses. Be courteous to any other guests that may be visiting occasionally. Make sure you close the windows shut and lock the door when leaving the house. Village cats may enter from open windows and may not be able to leave. Please keep the wooden outside table covered when leaving in case of rain. HOT WATER: The house has solar panels that heat the hot water tank. On sunny days (April to November) there is sufficient hot water. In the winter time, on cloudy days, it may be necessary to turn on the boiler switch to heat the hot water tank. It is not instant; you will need to keep it on for 20 minutes to preheat the water for two showers. Do not keep it switched on for longer than 60 minutes or the element may fail.
