Hikers can explore the many walking routes of the Alpujarras or tramp to the top of the highest mountain in mainland Spain, where they will experience spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Nobody should miss out on a day or two seeing the sights in beautiful Granada, particularly the stunning Alhambra palace which dates back to the time of the Moors. Yet, the local delights of Lecrin are more than enough to detain a visitor looking for good food, beautiful scenery and welcoming villagers. The area is famous for it’s delicious tapas, served free with every drink. The Beznar reservoir, just a ten-minute walk from Chite, has water sports throughout the summer. But, if you want, it’s possible to do nothing more than sit back and enjoy the views from the village.
