Description
Light, airy 2nd floor of a Federal-era home on a beautiful, quiet street. Walk to the center of town in a minute. Exuberantly colorful decor, vibrant art, and a charming libraryette to curl up in. Direct fiber wi-fi w/ 500 mbps up/download. Full kitchen and yin-yang buddha garden w/ BBQ. One-night stays may be possible; please feel free to ask. Late check-out available unless other guests are imminent. Please also see my 1st floor, "BRIGHT, CHARMING 3-BR WITH GARDEN IN THE HEART OF TOWN." The space Charisma plus: Comfortable, spotless, with the welcoming warmth and sublime dishabille of an art-filled salon. Gracious ambience and sky-colored ceilings throughout. So thoughtfully provisioned that it feels and functions like home. This roomy 1,250-sf floor-thru is the entire second floor of the house. Public spaces are spacious and filled with light. The three bedrooms (with one queen-size bed, one queen with featherbed, one pillowtop full) are cozy and generously appointed with pillows and soft linens. There's also a daybed in the libraryette—a bright, book-lined anteroom with French doors—off the living room. This floor has its own thermostat, and AC in every bedroom. The yin-yang buddha garden, a lush oasis where hummingbirds flit amongst orange trumpet flowers all summer, has a propane BBQ and plenty of seating. Please tell me the number in your party and reason for your visit so I can best accommodate your needs. Guest access Guests enter the house on gracious Union Street. There are five steps up to the front door and entry hall, and thence a staircase to the second floor. The back-hall staircase leads down to the back door of the house, which opens into the buddha garden with BBQ and plenty of seating that guests on either floor can enjoy. The house presents as a single-family, but the first two floors function as independent apartments. Should you wish to rent both floors of the house, it can also function as a single-family house for larger groups or family reunions. Other things to note PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF UPON ENTERING THE HOUSE. Cozy house socks will be provided, with many thanks from your House Fairy. PETS: Unfortunately, although I love them, I cannot accept pets as guests. On a related note: ALLERGIC TO CATS? Anyone allergic to cats would be well advised to book my first floor instead. The second floor is of course clean to superhostess standards; nonetheless, cats have also enjoyed this space, so please be advised. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN: I totally understand. I ask only that you tell me if something has been broken, stained or otherwise damaged. I will either thank you sincerely for letting me know and wave it off as a cost of doing business, or we can work out some reasonable solution that preserves the sacrosanct bonds of candor and respect between hostess and guests. EXTENDED STAYS: Biweekly cleanings will be included in the bill. You may also arrange for more frequent cleanings. I am happy to help schedule those upon request. LEGAL STUFF: Please note that 5% of the cost of your rental goes to the City of Hudson as a lodging tax. This property is registered with the City of Hudson, License No. 481.
