A locked pocket door separates you from the rest of our family's home so that you can come and go privately as you please. Westerville is a city rich with stories: once known as the epicenter of the Prohibition, the town only recently overturned it's "dry" status and now enjoys the Dora designation, where you can enjoy and sip a beer while walking within the marked boundaries of Uptown. Westerville was also a refuge for those making their journey to freedom via the Underground Railroad, and tours of some of the historic host homes such as the Hanby House are available upon request. You'll also be in walking distance from shops, restaurants, cafes, library, parks, as well as Otterbein University. For those who love to walk or bike, you're just a couple short blocks from Westerville's famous bike path which hugs the whole city. It's the perfect option for city slickers and nature lovers alike! **Also, we have bikes, locks and helmets in the shed if you need wheels to get around. Guest access Your guest suite is essentially the front of the house. It includes the front porch, entry sitting room, adjacent bedroom including two closets to hang clothes, and full bathroom with walk-in shower and double sinks. While your quarters were first built over 100 years ago, it's been stripped down to the studs and entirely renovated. During your stay We will be onsite and living life as usual during your stay. If you have questions or need anything, don't be shy! We are available to help in any way we can while you're here as our guests! Otherwise, we will leave you be, trusting you'll reach out as needed. Other things to note Your guest suite includes a personal coffee maker, fresh ground coffee, cream and sugar and bottled filtered water. Also, as a family of four with 2 kids, you may occasionally hear the pitter-patter of little feet or family life, but we can assure you it will be a quiet, relaxing stay in a sweet little neighborhood!
