Ficus Cabin- Under the Morton Bay
Description
Situated on Gunai Kurnai land, a little cabin to retreat to available on the land we stand. Wake to the sounds of the birds, tour through our developing food forest or get out and about in the many magical spaces East Gippsland has to offer; but don't forget to end your day with a glass by the fire pit star gazing; or treat yourself to the newly created Metung Hot Springs only 5 minutes away. Fresh air, soil beneath our feet, nature; we all need a bit more of it. The space This two bedroom cabin is situated on 3 acres in which our welcoming little family also lives. Please treat our land as your own while you are here. Visit the chickens, walk through the food forest we are creating (which will one day surround the cabin), enjoy some home grown produce we have left you or sit by the fire pit of a night time spoilt by the stars. The cabin is all yours. It has a kitchen with all you need, lounge, bathroom & 2 bedrooms (one queen bed and one single with pull out single trundle). There is a split system to keep you cool or warm. Disconnect to connect, unwind and just be. We do not have wi-fi or a tv. Everyone who has stayed with us has commented on how relaxed they have felt and the fact they have talked more with their loved ones than they have in a long time. We are here if you need, and not here if you don’t. You will see us about. We are often gardening, playing with our little one in the yard or venturing about. Please do keep in mind this is a working permaculture space. We are developing a food forest so there is mud piles, and all sorts of things happening. We are always aware not to make loud noise and provide you with privacy while you are here. You will occasionally see us working away in the garden, and you are absolutely welcome to join in too; or just pick a few goodies for your meals. Our home is roughly 30 meters away from the cabin, however you do have privacy and we are very respectful when you stay. Our dog Digby would love to meet you and will happily await your waking to say good morning, feel free to throw the ball for him and he will be your best friend, or your furry friends too. Digby is extremely safe with kiddies. There is a trampoline for the kids (or adults) to enjoy. A sandpit and cubby house, feel free to explore. Guest access Feel free to visit the chickens or walk amongst the developing food forest (just watch your feet). This space is currently a work in progress as we are in the development stages of creating a food forest, so do be cautious where you walk and feel free to ask us for a tour. Enjoy the trampoline, kids natural cubby and sandpit. Watch your steps when walking. Other things to note + We love having your pets visit too but we do ask that they don't get left home alone, or jump up on furniture. Please let us know if you do plan on bringing pets so we can confirm this is ok (they need to be ok with our dog and kid friendly). There is currently no 'fenced in' areas however they are free to roam the land (electric fence around chickens). + Feel like you would love a night or venture out without your little ones?? Nat has many years experience with children so don't hesitate to ask for 'baby sitting' details. + Need a lift to and from somewhere? Feel free to ask if we can help you with your transport for a small fee. + Need some tips and hints on our favourite places to vist, eat, adventure or excercise? Feel free to get in touch. There is ALOT to experience.
