The 8 bedroom Sea View Inn is nestled in the trees of Carmel’s most beautiful residential neighborhood. The Inn is a 3-minute walk to Carmel Beach and an 8-minute walk to the European style of Carmel village. The Sea View Inn is perfect for large groups who prefer one accommodation for special events & retreats. Note: we are new to Airbnb but have been welcoming guests for decades. The space The space: The Sea View Inn is a turn of the century building remodeled for your comfort while retaining the romantic atmosphere and ambiance of the past. We have 8 individually decorated guest rooms. Note you will be renting the entire property and therefore have private access to all 8 guest rooms plus a common area and kitchen. Here is a detailed description of our home and guest rooms, all of which are included in this listing and will be for your group’s private and exclusive use: First (Ground) Floor *Light and warmth surround you in the charming ground floor that has a wonderful entry with its checkerboard floor. The living room and parlor room are inviting spaces to enjoy breakfast, challenge a friend to a game of backgammon or relax after a day of sightseeing. *The beautiful covered front porch offers the sounds of the ocean and the fresh air of Carmel. It’s a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon glass of wine while saying hello to those passing by on the street below. *The rustic farm-style kitchen offers common appliances (oven, stove, refrigerator, sink with disposal), modern conveniences (coffee maker electric teapot, microwave) and common accessories needed to prepare meals and store food and beverages. *The boxwood-lined backyard garden is ideal for morning coffee, afternoon sunbathing, and evening star gazing. *Laundry facilities (washer and dryer), and a half bathroom. 2nd Floor. Four unique master suites. *“Room #6” sleeps two (king bed), offers a garden view, and has an ensuite renovated bathroom with radiant heated floors. *“Room #7” sleeps two (king bed), has a sitting area and desk, offers a garden view, and has an ensuite renovated bathroom with radiant heated floors. *“Room #8” sleeps two (queen bed) and has a sitting area with a table. A renovated bathroom with radiant heated floors is just outside the door across the hall. *“Room #9” sleeps two (queen bed), has a sitting area, offers a modest ocean view, and has an ensuite renovated bathroom with radiant heated floors. (Note: there are not 9 guest rooms, but only 8. "Room #3" does not exist, so this is actually the 8th room although it is called "Room #9"). Third Floor. The bedrooms on the top floor are smaller and tucked cozily under the eves. Please note there is no elevator to the second and third floors, and the stairs can be steep. *“Rooms #1 & #2” each sleep two (queen beds), provide a garden view and share a large renovated bathroom located just outside both rooms. *"Room #3" actually does not exist due to the historical uniqueness of the home :-). *“Rooms #4 & #5” each sleep two (queen beds), provide a peek of the ocean view, and have ensuite renovated bathrooms. There is a smart TV with cable in the family room. We offer high-speed Wifi. This home has a maximum occupancy of 16 guests total. Guest access You will have access to the entire building at all times, which includes kitchen, laundry, garden and all guest rooms listed above. There is a small office and storage room that will not be accessible to guests. Other things to note IMPORTANT: You automatically agree to our policies below: 1. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Our staff usually meets you. Early check-in can be confirmed for an additional fee 1-2 days before. Please email us if you are interested. A $500 authorization/hold will be placed on your credit card for the SECURITY/ BOND upon arrival and will be released 14 days from your arrival date, providing there are no charges. Check-in time: 4 p.m-8 p.m Check-out time: 11 a.m. 2. SUPPLIES: the house is stocked with a starter set of paper towels,, tissues and amenities. We do not refill the supplies during your stay. 3. ACCESS: Although very rarely required, our staff may enter the home for building maintenance between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m if needed. 4. CLEANING FEES: The cleaning fee shown on Airbnb covers the final cleaning (after checkout) only. For Stays Greater than 7 Nights Only: An extra $200 mid-stay cleaning fee applies every week of your stay to cover the cost of extra mid-stay cleaning(s) during your stay. If you reserve for more than 7 nights, you will be sent a request to remit the extra mid-stay cleaning fee(s) immediately after a confirmed booking on Airbnb. 5. RESPECT FOR PROPERTY: Guests agree to leave all property of Sea View Inn in the same place and condition as upon check-in. Any noise violations, damage to the property, or disturbance of neighbors will result in a fine. 6. VISITORS: Non-registered guests are not permitted in the house without prior approval ( charges will apply). 7. NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in the building. $2000 fine. 8. TRASH/GARBAGE: Please place trash in plastic bags in the bins on the side of the house and not in the front of the building. 9. QUIET HOURS: From 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. 10. NO PARTIES/EVENTS: No Guests and/or Occupants shall hold a party or gathering in Sea View Inn. $2000 FINE and possible eviction. 11. KEYS: $50 charge for keys replacement. 12. PETS: No pets are allowed. $2000 fine. 13. DAMAGE To Sea View Inn: Guests must pay for any and all damages resulting from Guests or fellow Occupants’ stay. Management will make repairs and Guests shall pay the total cost of such repairs and any additional fines incurred. 14. FINES: If Guests do not comply with our Policies, they will be charged a fine and face possible eviction. If Guests or fellow Occupants engage in any illegal activity, the police will be called. The guest will be fined $2000 and evicted. All fines must be paid immediately upon billing. WAIVER OF LIABILITY: Sea View Inn, its agents, and staff shall not be liable and, to the extent not prohibited by applicable law, Guests and other Occupant(s) waive all claims for damage to person(s) or property sustained by Guests or any Occupant(s) of Sea View Inn resulting from Sea View Inn or any part of it or any equipment or appliances becoming out of repair, or resulting from any accident in or around Sea View Inn, or resulting directly or indirectly from any neglect of any resident of the building or of any other person(s). Personal Property: All personal property belonging to Guests and/or any Occupant(s) of Sea View Inn that is in Sea View Inn shall be there at the risk of the Guests or such other person only. Sea View Inn shall not be liable for any damage thereto or the theft or misappropriation thereof. Under no circumstances and in no event shall Sea View Inn be liable to Guests and/or any Occupant(s) of Sea View Inn in any manner, or for any amount because of damage to or loss of any such personal property kept or stored in any area of Sea View Inn. All such liability and/or claims are hereby expressly waived by Guests and/or any Occupant(s).
