The space In the annex next to our house, you'll find the 67-square-meter barrier-free house in the garden for YOU. It is bright, with modern white furniture. There are no stairs. The floors can all be wet cleaned. You can go anywhere with a walker, we tested that. Unfortunately it is too narrow for a wheelchair user. We don't need air conditioning here in Northern Germany. Your rooms are well insulated and don't let in the heat. In cold months, the heating provides warmth. THE ENTRANCE: You enter your rooms at ground level through your frieze door with glass insert. If you're already looking for some items for cleaning ;-) you'll find it in the built-in cupboard behind the doors with looking-glasses. Umbrellas for occasional use are waiting for you. The floor in the hallway, bathroom and kitchen is tiled. THE BARRIER-FREE BATHROOM: It is equipped with a floor-level shower, washing machine, lavatory, high-hung sink and wall brackets. Upon request, we will provide you with a shower chair. Detergent, bathroom tissue for the entire stay, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, a hairdryer and countless towels in various sizes are available on the shelves. The window is equipped with a mosquito net. THE FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN: Here you will find built-in cupboards, a sink, a space-saving dishwasher, an extractor hood, an electric ceramic stove with 4 hobs and underneath the electric oven for baking with top and bottom heat. Opposite there are further built-in cupboards and a large fridge-freezer combination (Liebherr). Nespresso machine AND filter coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, egg cooker and microwave make settling in easy. In the cupboards you will find pots, pans, dishes, children's dishes, cutlery, good knives, a corkscrew for your evening wine (!), pasta strainer, tea towels and everything necessary for a family of 6. Here you can cook just like you would do at home. You will find salt, pepper, spices, capsule coffee and ground coffee, teas, pasta, rice, sugar and flour, vinegar and oil and everything you need to get your dishes and the kitchen clean again. The window has a mosquito net. THE LIVING ROOM 2 with three areas: Here are cupboards and open shelves for your clothes and belongings, as well as a DINING TABLE with a bench and chairs for your meals. 6 people can eat together here. The floor in the living room 2 is designed with light panels. YOUR WORKSPACE in the living room 2: A small table waits for your laptop, a desk chair allows you to work properly. The WiFi provides you with approx. 433 Mbps (Zoom meetings, Netflix etc. are very possible). Two people can also work on the Internet at the same time. Let us know if you need a second desk chair. You could also sit in the garden at the patio table and work with the laptop there. The WiFi is strong enough. The skylights in the living room 2 can be darkened with roller blinds. A DOUBLE BED (180 x 200cm) with 2 separate mattresses is installed in the niche of the living room 2. The bed does not have a foot end, so it is suitable for particularly tall people. A curtain gives this area privacy. THE SEPARATE BEDROOM: The door to the bedroom has a glass insert and can be darkened. There are 2 SINGLE BEDS (90 x 200cm) in the bedroom. If you would like, we may attach a safety gate to the bed so that your child cannot fall out. There is space for your clothes and belongings in two large cupboards. The window has a mosquito net. You can darken the window with an external roller blind. Two open arched passageways from the living room 2 to the living room 1 allow plenty of light through the garden window. You can close the arched passages with a curtain. THE LIVING ROOM 1: The living room 1 facing the garden has a large three-part window with a low parapet facing south into the greenery. The view is always different and great. The birdhouse attracts feathered guests. That's why we did align the furniture in this direction. One of the windows has a mosquito net. An external roller blind darkens the room if necessary. The skylight can be darkened with an interior roller blind. You can find space for your belongings on shelves. Art books to browse, novels, children's books and toys, books about Schleswig-Holstein and cookbooks from the region will help you pass the time on rainy days. A flat screenTV (Philips, 37 inches) with satellite channels and a Fire TV Stick for streaming Netflix etc., a DVD player, an Echo with Alexa function and a wireless (Sony) with CD player, USB and Aux ports ensures that you don't lose touch with the world. ;-) One two-seater sofa, armchairs, rattan high-back chairs and yoga cushions invite you to relax. The SENIOR BED (90 x 200cm) looks like a daybed with lots of pillows during the day. It does not have a foot end, so it is suitable for particularly tall people. In the high white cupboard next to it there is a FOLDING BED with a mattress 86cm wide and 196cm long. There is a light PVC floor in the living room. A frieze door with a glass insert leads directly onto your terrace. This door can be darkened with a curtain. YOUR PALVED TERRACE: The terrace is framed by a beech hedge, rhododendrons and healthy boxwood. A white bench, a round table with a parasol and garden chairs with cushions invite you to have breakfast, have a barbecue and spend the day there. If in the evening it gets too shady you can go a few steps further and set up your chairs in a niche on the lawn. From here you have a good view over a large part of the garden, which we maintain ourselves. The large lawn is surrounded by herbaceous and rose beds and a real bend (Knick) behind which a hiking trail runs. The garden is fenced all around and surrounded by hedges, but is not "dachshund-proof". And large dogs could jump over them in some places. Please make sure that your four-legged friend doesn't run away! There are no pets on our premises or on the directly neighboring properties. The paved driveway in front of the carport is wide enough so that someone with a walker could get out on the right. The path along your house is so wide that you could park your bike there. Next to the front door you will find the KEY BOX for independent check-in. Inside the cottage everything is for you. You will feel like the owner. The doors have keys in case you want to lock individual areas yourself. Other things to note SENIORS get along well in this bright, manageable cottage because it is barrier-free and suitable for walkers. No stairs. There are numerous grab bars in the bathroom and you can get a shower chair upon request. The single bed in the living room 1 is especially suitable for seniors. The green surroundings invite you to take walks and go shopping in the supermarket by foot. Two restaurants are also within walking distance. The house in the garden is also suitable for a FAMILY with a baby and children (baby travel cot, changing area, high chair and triptrap on request). The nearby playground, the shady hiking trails and the traffic-calmed surroundings are ideal for your shared activities. Toys and children's books are available for all ages. You don't have to pay for babies up to 2 years. People who work in HOME OFFICE also feel comfortable here. Up to two workstations can be easily set up. And even in the garden, the WiFi is strong enough so that you can work outside at your laptop. Our garden is fenced and surrounded by hedges, but it is not "dachshund-proof". Small, agile dogs could sneak through the fence. And the super-large four-legged friends will definitely manage to jump over the fence. Please take care of your animal yourself! There are no pets living in our house or on the directly neighboring properties. Unfortunately, cats cannot stay with us due to my allergy. BICYCLE TOURISTS and MOTORCYCLE TRECKIES appreciate this cottage as a cozy stopover to warm up and do laundry. The bicycles or motorcycles are kept dry and airy in the carport. E-bikes can be charged at two outdoor sockets. You are welcome to use our own 2 bicycles from time to time at your own risk. Thanks to the nature all around, you have the chance to observe ANIMAL VISITORS such as deer, little red squirrels and birds in the area. At night in summer you see bats flying over the garden and sometimes a cat taps on the roof tiles. You will certainly also have some insects visiting, as this cannot be completely avoided despite the mosquito nets.
