Postmodern Treehouse-like Cabin by Charles Moore

Relax, reflect and create in this unique, treehouse-like cabin built by the father of postmodern architecture, Charles Moore. The home is built with a grand staircase that leads you into the tree tops of Pine Mountain. Take in the surrounding nature from the multi-level decks or warm up by the fireplace. You can also enjoy the short trail in the backyard, the clubhouse, golf course, pool & the many wonderful trails nearby. The cabin is great for a solo retreat, couple's getaway or a small group The space -On almost 2 acres of forested land -A short trail in the backyard that leads into the woodsy mountain -1 private bedroom and bathroom available. -2 guests in primary bedroom, up to 2 guests in living room with air mattress and/or daybed. -High Speed Internet provided by Starlink which runs at 100 Mbps. Suitable for remote work. -The home is set on a hill overlooking pine trees with spacious decks on each side of the cabin. -Kitchen has a gas stove and oven, coffee maker, microwave, Brita water filter and basic spices. -There is a smart TV in the living room and portable Bose speaker. (please be prepared with Netflix, Hulu etc log-ins ) -Heat provided by large wood burning stove and wall furnace. (Firewood available for purchase at General Store 5 mins away) -There is a fan, portable AC, plug-in heaters and heating pads -Ring camera is located near the driveway -No dishwasher -There is no trash pick up in PMC due to bears so please bring your trash with you or take to the dump site 5 mins away (hours and address will be emailed upon booking) *November to March is snow season. Please check the weather prior to trip as snow chains may be required to atleast be inside the vehicle. AWD/4WD recommended as hilly roads are windy and get icy. The cabin is on a steep driveway. Guest access The front door is the third door up the stairs. You will have the entire place to yourself. Other things to note -Verizon is the only carrier that works in Pine Mountain Club. Please save directions and door passcode. -Not accessibility-friendly: the cabin is designed to have grand stairs. -Not ideal for young kids because the design of the stairs and stair railings. -No pets allowed. -Please be aware that there is no hospital in PMC and the nearest hospital is about an hour away. -This area is at high risk for wildfires. -Conserve water, please. -BEARS: Important to note that we share this environment with a lot of wildlife. Between March and October you may see California black bears. For the safety of you and the wildlife please do not feed or interact with them.
