The upstairs of our home is just as it is listed, a "Private Upstairs Oasis." It has comfy couches, large TV, private bath and private room. The entrance to this space is through our house. Vacation Rental/ Nightly Rental I am renting the upstairs portion of my home. This home is located minutes from I35 (Slaughter Exit) and approximately 20 minutes from Circuit of the Americas. Easy access to the tollroad. Also minutes from the downtown excitement! ***Please read over our check in and check out times and our house manual*** There is a bus stop walking distance from the home. The CapMetro website is very user friendly and easy to come up with your route. The room includes one queen size bed, access to full kitchen, linens, large flat screen tv (upstairs), and wireless internet. - Late arrivals are no problem, just give us an estimate on arrival time. Includes very private upstairs retreat that includes Queen bed, full bathroom, large TV. - NO DOGS. This property is unsafe for other dogs/pets, this includes Service and Emotional pets of any sort. Per Airbnb policy: if an "assistance animal" will create a safety hazard to ourselves and to our property we have the right to refuse the booking. Homeowners and guests have pet allergies. Our dogs are not dog friendly. For this reason and many more we do not allow any dogs or pets. If you have questions we encourage you to ask. Home is handicap accessible to the downstairs areas only. There are ramps entering the home in front and to the back yard. Large ADA door making wheelchairs easy to enter and exit. The neighborhood is a cozy neighborhood located just off S.1st St. in S. Austin. Walking distance to park with playground and walking trails. Lots of shopping nearby: I have lived in Austin for 20 years and can assist in any way with suggestions on what to do and where to go while here. Home owners will most likely be present when renting these rooms. We do own two dogs and a cat. The entire downstairs and upstairs have hard floors. If you are concerned with pet allergies we do not allow any of our animals in the rooms we host. We will give you as much privacy as you wish. We both work weird schedules so we will be in and out of home. We have been hosting for Airbnb for 7 years now, we still really enjoy it and for the most part do not have any problems. If you would like references personal (friends) and/or professional (Sheriff's office) don't hesitate to ask. With that being said, yes, we are both Police Officers. We do not confirm on guests who have not been verified through Airbnb. Thank you for looking!! Leia Guests do have access to swimming pool (unheated). Please no glass in the pool. If we are out of town during your stay there will be no access to pool (liability reasons) unless prior arrangements have been made. For consideration of our neighbors we ask that you are out of the pool by 10:00pm. (specially during the week) Feel free to contact me with any questions! As much or as little as you wish... Very quiet neighborhood. We do have a park that connects through the back of the neighborhood. Park has a great running trail and a few hiking trails. If you would like to look up the park it's called, Mary Moore Searight Park. To Austin Convention Center (SXSW) - 9.8 miles. To 6th St. District - 10 miles. To Zilker Park (ACL) - 11.1 miles. To COTA (Formula 1) - 17.6 miles. To Palmer Event Center - 9.9 miles To Airport - 12.6 miles If you need mileage to any other location please ask away. If you have questions for us please ask before you book... I'm usually really good about responding back pretty quickly (except middle of night). I would rather you ask us questions than book and be unhappy with your stay. Also, if you have questions about our house rules, please ask... We do not intend for it to be harsh, we have just learned it is wiser to be honest up front than disappoint in the future. This has been a very fun adventure and we are still learning as we go!!
