Rejuvenate at our regenerative farm, just 40 minutes south of Pittsburgh. Rest and relax in your comfortable studio-style space in our 1882 spring house, with full kitchen and bathroom. Wake in your comfortable queen size bed to the sound of birds before breakfast of farm fresh eggs. Put your toes in the creek; walk through the woods; perch on the hillside to watch the cows, sheep, chickens and pigs; gather wildflowers, herbs, and maybe some veggies from the garden for your dinner! The space The Old Road Farm is situated on 62 acres of rolling hills, with woods at it's head and a creek at its feet. Our guest house sits atop the natural spring that has fed this farm fresh water for well over 150 years. Recently renovated to add kitchen and bathroom facilities, the one room apartment feels spacious for it's size and modern for it's age. The spring house is situated adjacent to our family home, near the heart of our working farm. Here we use organic and regenerative practices to ethically produce nutritious, delicious meat and eggs that are healing for us, our community and our planet. Guest access The main floor of the spring house is yours to enjoy. Also feel free to roam the pastures, wander the woods, sit by the ponds and gaze on the animals. Please do not enter the barn or other out structures or enter any paddocks containing animals without accompaniment by one of the farmers. Expect that all fences are electrified. Leave all gates the way you found them. Other things to note Ours is a working family farm including all the dangerous potential of farming, from unpredictable animals to tools and equipment that can be unsafe if not properly respected. We want you to come and enjoy your time here. We ask that you please bring common sense along for the trip.
