On-site massage therapy: -To complete a weekend of total relaxation, please feel free to inquire about a private massage treatment. We are happy to arrange for a licensed massage therapist to come to your guest wing. Estimated fees + gratuities: $200-300/hr. Kitchen access and dinner options: -Just let us know if you wish to use the kitchen to cook. -With advanced notice, and subject to our availability, it would be an utmost pleasure to provide you with our culinary offerings at $100/person. And that’s just the beginning… Guest access Guests will have access to the following: 1) Their own guest wing which includes bedroom, bathroom, sauna, yoga studio, & semi-private living room all located on an entire floor below the main level. 2) Upstairs kitchen access (just let us know in advance if you’d like to cook). 3) Private-level pool and hot tub. 4) Multiple outdoor sitting areas. 5) Laundry room. During your stay We (2 adults & 1 dog) live on site and will be here for whatever you need, but we’ll give you plenty of privacy to yourselves. We’ve hosted artists, interior decorators, global nomads, published authors, healthcare professionals, techies, film directors/set designers/composers, documentarians, photographers, chefs, students, professors, and folks from all over the world & from all walks of life. If you have experiences to share, stories to tell, viewpoints to teach, or a good joke to crack, we’re all ears. We love learning about new places, cultures, and ways of thinking that are even—especially—contrary to our own, for critical thinking thrives when intellectual diversity is present (and we’re only as old as the last time we’ve changed our minds). Other things to note 1) We have a small 10-lb dog named Butters. She is a cavapoo and thus hypoallergenic and non-shedding. She will be kept away from your guest wing unless you grant permission to allow us to let her downstairs to greet you. However, if you have severe allergies to dogs, this may not be the right place for you. 2) Our property grounds and home layout are NOT wheel-chair accessible. 3) This guest wing is ideal for adult couples or single travelers. Infants, toddlers, and children under 18 are not permitted. 4) Pool cleaners arrive on Monday/Friday mornings, gardeners arrive on Thursday mornings. 5) The pool is NOT heated. 6) Our home is an architectural Midcentury house that was built in the 1960s. We have kept many of its original features. If you’re looking for an ultra-modern, high-tech smart home, this may not be the right fit for you. 7) The guest bedroom & yoga studio do not have central AC. The living room does have central AC/heat. However, since the guest wing is below the main level (and heat naturally rises), it tends to be 10-15 degrees cooler at all times. We also provide space heaters and cooling fans for our guests. None of our guests have ever had an issue on this front, but we do wish to be transparent on this detail so that you can make an informed decision. 8) Our pricing structure is non-negotiable as no expense is spared in providing you with top-of-the-line amenities & personalized care. We have traveled all over the world to explore luxurious—and more importantly—meaningful hospitality, which we will strive to recreate for our guests’ enjoyment and happiness. 9) Our home is a living canvas. As such, we are always playing with and reimagining design & functionality. Upon arrival, you may notice new details that are different from our listed photos, but rest assured that you will only experience pleasure & joy at the sight of your whimsical wonderland.
