Clean. Safe. Lovely. Convenient. Studio apartment in our W. Asheville renovated daylight basement. We love hosting families and are pet-friendly. Great neighborhood for walking, 10 minutes to beautiful downtown, a couple minutes to trendy restaurants, & 5 minutes to major highways. Suite has a mini kitchen, dining area, queen bed, bunk beds, & cozy seating area with TV all in one space. Easy check-in, close parking, private entrance and patio, chickens, and (shared) fenced yard with trampoline. The space Our suite is a simple and efficient little space that has been thoughtfully planned with artistic detailing to have everything you need to be comfortable. The queen bed, bunk beds, kitchenette, dining table, and sitting room are all in one space, with a large laundry room, walk-in closet, and bathroom each in separate rooms. Please Note: Being the semi-urban home of a large family, we are not the best location for a silent retreat- you will hear footsteps up above when we are home and active, and my children, being musicians/actors/dancers/athletes, can be loud enough to hear despite extensive soundproofing. However, you do not need to worry about being quiet yourselves- we cannot hear you from upstairs. Our space is marked by the comfort of being near a normal family and the safety of a host who cares about the well-being of each person who enters her home. The kitchenette has a full-size sink, large mini fridge with freezer, hot plate, tea kettle, microwave and toaster oven (which can bake muffins and a small pizza). I clean with mostly natural products, nothing perfumed, and there are lots of plants. We also have a full house water filter which is great because the city water smells like a public pool. In the yard we have chickens who you are welcome to visit and feed, as well as a fenced in yard with a trampoline and playground that kids and dogs are welcome to use. (The yard is shared space with my family and dog.) There is parking right behind the suite in our driveway and a patio area designated just for you. (Asheville Homestay Permit #22-07432) Guest access You can come and go from the guest suite as you please with a coded lock. Other things to note Our family of 6 and friendly labradoodle live upstairs. For this reason, we have quiet hours generally from 10pm-7am but we are never bothered by the sound of a baby/toddler in the middle of the night. The sound proofing is quite good and you can talk and move normally without worrying about being heard.
