Rustic Lake Home Nestled in the Pines

Welcome to Barred Owl Pines, a peaceful, rustic setting on Lake Algonquin! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is the perfect spot to make fireside memories. Enjoy kayaking from the private dock, hiking the trails along Sacandaga River, chats on the porch, making smores in the firepit, or relaxing under the pines with your favorite book. This home is a short drive from many beautiful Adirondack towns like Speculator on Lake Pleasant and Northville on Sacandaga Lake. Many beautiful hikes await! The space Barred Owl Pines has three bedrooms. The queen bedroom is downstairs and the full bedroom and twin beds are upstairs. There is a full bath downstairs with a shower/tub, and a full bath upstairs with a stall shower. We have a renovated kitchen, dining room, and living room downstairs. The living room has a large sofa, love seat, and comfy chair. The large dining table can comfortably seat 8 people. We love to cook so the kitchen is well stocked. The outdoor space has a patio off the kitchen with a picnic table and BBQ. There are two fire pits outdoors. Please be prepared to bring your own wood. There are many places along the route to the home to pick up wood. The lake is across the street, down a short path. There you will find a private dock and swim platform and a bench to sit and relax. You will love the sunsets! Guest access You will have use of the entire home to yourself during your stay. We do, however, use the home when it is not welcoming guests. You will see areas marked "private" (ie: basement, closet...) and there are personal items around that make it feel like a home. We hope you enjoy sharing the space with us. Other things to note Please make sure you request lake items, such as kayaks and life jackets, prior to your arrival. Although there is wood on the premises, we ask that you bring your own wood for fires.
