Cabin Overview: * **Location:** 5 miles north of Mocrocks Beach, 35 miles from Olympic National Forest and Lake Quinault. Semi-secluded, but not far from key attractions. * **Size:** 600 sq ft cedar log cabin (built in 1968) with vaulted ceilings. * **Front Yard:** Fully fenced for privacy. Amenities: * **Nootka Barrel Sauna:** Electric, with dry or steam options. Nestled among trees with views of the temperate rainforest. Review sauna "terms of use" for safety and to prevent damage. * **Living Area:** King-sized daybed, wood stove with firewood, games, books, puzzles, Bluetooth speaker, and turntable with records. * **Kitchen:** Well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, slow cooker, blender, sharp knives, and more. Includes oils, spices, condiments, and a coffee station with French Press, pour-over coffee cone & thermas, burr grinder, and tea selection. * **Bathroom:** Large shower with great water pressure, Tushy bidet toilet, and natural toiletries provided. We keep our checkout list minimal and encourage a “take your time” approach at the cabin. This allows guests—especially those with shorter stays—to fully relax and enjoy the experience. Sleep in, cook up a delicious breakfast, take one last hike or beach walk, enjoy one more sauna session, or simply wait out traffic before hitting the road. No rush, just ease. Things to Note: * **Fireworks:** Loud fireworks may occur during the first two weeks of July (not ideal for dogs). * **Seclusion:** Though remote, other inhabitants live nearby. The cabin offers privacy with trees surrounding the property. * **Booking Agreement:** By booking, you agree to the sauna’s “terms of use” for safety and maintenance. **Storm Season is October through March. This is a time that high winds and heavy rains can lend to power outages. If you have any questions please send us an inquiry before officially booking your stay:) Guest access cabin, everything provided in the cabin, and on the property, including the barrel sauna Terms of use for barrel sauna. *Children ages five and under are not permitted in the sauna. *Children between the ages of six and 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the sauna at all times. *Allow yourself at least five minutes after exercising to cool down before entering the sauna. *Pregnant women and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, circulatory or respiratory problems, seizures, or epilepsy should not enter the sauna without prior medical consultation. *Do not use the sauna while under the influence of any type of alcohol, drugs, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictor, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers. * Participants are required to shower prior to use. *Remove all metal jewelry prior to entering the sauna. *The surface of the rocks, heater and surrounding area can be extremely hot. Exercise caution. *Prolonged use of sauna is not recommended due to fatiguing effects. Limit yourself to a maximum of 15 minutes. *Do not smoke, exercise, eat or drink beverages in the sauna room. Leave drinks outside. *Leave the sauna immediately if you experience any nausea, dizziness, hot flashes, cold chills, headaches or other discomfort. *Drink plenty of fluids before and after leaving the sauna. *Use of essential oils or fragrances is prohibited in the sauna. *Only clean water should be poured directly over the sauna rocks. *Do not use the sauna to dry clothes, swimsuits or towels or place materials near the heater or guard fence. *Newspapers, magazines, or other reading materials are prohibited. * Turn off sauna and lock the door when done. If repair or assistance is needed, contact us ASAP. Other things to note ### Location: The cabin is on the * **Quinault Reservation:** the land of the Quinault Indian Nation. Please **respect the tribe's rules**—non-tribal members are prohibited from accessing beaches on the reservation. The nearest public beach access is **Moclips** (5 miles south). * **Nearby Attractions:** * **Ruby Beach:** 1 hour drive. * **Olympic National Park:** 39 miles from the SW entrance; the park is large is 922,651 acres ( 1,442sm) so the northern end is 2-4 hours away. * **Nearby Beaches:** * Moclips: 5 miles * Pacific Beach: 6 miles * Lake Quinault & Quinault Rainforest: 33 miles * Kalaloch Beach: 63 miles * Hoh Rainforest: 103 miles ### Access and Roads: * **Primitive Roads:** Drive slowly—roads to the cabin are maintained but can have potholes. Small cars can manage but stay cautious. * **Nearby Residences:** You might not see or hear anyone during your stay, but occasional noise from nearby residences is possible. ### Dog Policy: Sorry. We can no longer allow dogs at our cabin due to the neighbors farm dogs that have become a nuisance. If you are a returning guest please message us for details. * **Limit:** 2 dogs per stay. * **Provided Items:** One dog bed, stainless steel bowls. * **Pet Rules:** 1. **Furniture:** Keep dogs off furniture or use a clean pet blanket if they want to sit on it. 2. **Unattended Pets:** Do not leave dogs alone at the cabin. 3. **Waste Disposal:** Pick up waste in bags and dispose of it in the outdoor trash. 4. **Accidents:** Report any accidents to ensure proper cleaning. 5. **Roaming:** Keep pets within the fenced yard—do not allow them to roam due to surrounding animals. ### Additional Notes: * **Farm Nearby:** There is a nearby farm with dogs and roosters. The dogs do tend to run up to cars upon arrival. They can and should be shooed away. If you're sensitive to noise, earplugs might be helpful for early morning sounds.
