Description
Inspired by a swatch of wallpaper found in the attic, 'Poppy's Place' is decorated to bring you back in time to the 1930's. Bright, bold and cheerful colors were introduced into homes at that time to help keep people inspired during the dust bowl of the Great Depression. The 1930’s was the decade that fell directly in between WWI and WWII and Poppy Flowers were, and still are, a symbol of hope and remembrance for fallen soldiers. Office offers a day bed. The space With a focus on family friendly design, and fun vintage flair - you can tune into the crackling sounds of the 1930’s era radio, or relax to a favorite record, or dial the number of your childhood home. In the evening relax by a fire in the private fenced in yard, or play some of the provided games. We offer a baby bathtub and pack and play as well as a small assortment of books and toys for your human babies - and a soft sleeping pillow and large water bowl for your animal companions. All are welcome in the Poppy House where we hope the fully stocked kitchen and assortment of comfortable bedding and sleeping spaces brings families closer together to form some of the best memories. We are here if you need anything :) Guest access You will have access to the entire home, fenced in yard and off street parking. Your perfect getaway is our top priority! Other things to note Driveway is shared, but there is plenty of parking available off the street along our side of the driveway, we just ask that your car does not block our neighbors access. Also, out of respect for Kansas weather - note that there is a storm shelter a 2 minute drive away, always open at the Lincoln School on 800 West Main St, Chanute.
