Welcome, we are The Sleeping Bear Retreat; A wooded mountain top property spanning 7 beautiful acres located 6 minutes outside the center of Jim Thorpe. On our property we have a number of unique and individually themed lodge rooms in a rustic forest setting. The Moose is a cozy and private 1BR/1Bath Lodge Room with a private entrance detached from the main house. Additionally, this specific lodge room offers a workspace for remote workers looking for a change in scenery! The space The “Moose is Loose” Lodge is a 1 Bedroom / 1 Bath Bathroom studio apartment type set up. Your room has been upgraded to offer a cozy stay, with all the simple amenities you could need. A comfortable bed, clean linens and a guarantee of excellent hospitality. We have multiple lodge rooms located on the property, each room boasts its own unique theme. (Seasonally) You will find chairs outside your lodge or scattered throughout little nooks of our forest property. Relax sipping on coffee each morning, or wind down with a cocktail after the day’s adventure. Our retreat property also offers a shared fire pit, outdoor grilling & dining area also free parking. Guest access Your lodge is a space for you and you only. 1 bedroom and 1 private bathroom, with a private entrance, A studio apartment like set up. There are outdoor areas of the properties, fire pit, lounge chairs, parking area where you may occasionally encounter other guests. We have multiple lodge units on the property. All outdoor common areas are only available seasonally.
