Beautiful and spacious 7 bedroom Chateau. Bedrooms are individually decorated to a high standard, all en-suite. The castle is located in its own huge grounds (including a pool, lake and forest) surrounded by lovely farmland. Built in the 17th century, owned for 300 years by the Tessyiere family, now owned and loved by Poppy and Richard. A short walk from a thriving town, with great restaurants and shops. The space In order to keep the Chateau’s charm, renovations have carefully taken place, ensuring none of the original mouldings or features have been lost. Now fully restored and renovated to an exceedingly high standard, each room has a unique style, furnished with rich, fine fabrics and carefully selected French antiques. One of the biggest updates to note has to be in terms of connectivity - while the French countryside hasn’t always been famed for its wifi capabilities, the owners have recently called on Elon Musk’s Starlink system to give the very fastest and most reliable wifi throughout the Chateau and even reaching to within the grounds. Sleeping up to fourteen (with plans to open the grange to offer even more space) there is no shortage of things to do within the Chateau’s walls. Rainy days are taken care of with board games, 90inch cinema TV, slate based pool table, chess and various card games and on warmer days you can take a walk around the 11 acres of woodland, say hello to the frogs in the lake and the cows next door, before having a game of ping pong in the orchard and finishing with a nice dip in the pool. Recently purchased by new owners, this house has been loved by its two previous owners and is greatly loved now. Bought with a young family in mind, the sleeping arrangements are ideal. While the first floor is best kept for adults, the upstairs is decorated and furnished for younger kids who, with multiple bedding options, can sleep alone, or together -whatever their little hearts want. The current owners fell in love with the Chateau at first sight with its warm, open feeling that flows through the house and we hope you will love our little slice of paradise as much as we do. Guest access The great thing about the house is that we have set it up as your holiday destination as much as ours. You have full access to the house and grounds (which are vast). 2 rooms have been closed off to store our belongings. What this means is that the house is cleared of our clothes and clutter for your stay. We want this to be your private holiday home and not feel imposed upon. This is our own home, and we have decorated and fitted it out as such (not for rental), we hope you love it as much as we do. Other things to note Dogs are welcome - the outdoor space is perfect for them. But please check first. They must be very well trained and certain rooms reserved for them
