Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Enjoy a walk in the woods and cool off in the swimming hole. Roast some hot dogs and marshmallows in the firepit or relax in a hammock. Get away from the busyness of life and catch up on some quality time with your spouse or maybe just come for some much needed solitude, peace, and rest. Enjoy camping the glamping way - with the tent already set up and a bed ready for you to climb into at night. The queen size bed has soft cotton sheets and cozy bedding. With cooler nights, we have added an electric blanket. There are two comfortable chairs to lounge in. Inside the tent you will find a mini fridge to keep your food and drinks cold as well as a coffee maker with single serve pods of coffee (there is also a filter if you prefer to bring your own canister of coffee). We provide you with drinking water. There is also a box fan and space heater and a couple lamps with outlets to charge your devices. However, there is no wi-fi. We hope you use this time to unplug and unwind. On the deck is an outdoor table and chairs and lounge seating. There is a propane grill for you to prepare your food on. Grilling utensils are provided. You may also build a fire in the fire pit. Please do not leave any fire unattended. There are tiki torches around the site. (Please bring your own fuel.).There are also strands of lights above the deck you may plug in for lighting at night. We also have tubes for you to float on the river and beach towels for you to dry off with. There are a couple hammocks for your enjoyment as well. A few yards away from the tent is the bathroom facility. We provide towels and basic toiletries including soap, shampoo, and conditioner as well as dish detergent. The toilet is a compost toilet. After use, scoop some sawdust/peat moss onto the bucket. The water in the faucet and shower is filtered from our collection tank using solar power. Please do not drink it but just use it for your washing needs. This may be glamping but it is still camping in the woods! Be prepared with bug spray of your choice (mosquitos and ticks) and sunscreen if you plan to spend time in the river where there is less shade. You will need to carry your belongings from the parking area into the woods and down a slightly steep trail (3-4 minutes). We can help you carry your belongings/cooler if that is a problem for you. We are currently rebuilding our house, so please do not wander around the yard with the construction going on. Just follow the mulched path into the woods to find the campsite. Feel free to explore the woods. Don't forget your bug spray! We have several trails with one leading to a large jumping rock in a deeper swimming hole.
