In Monasterevin, this memorable place is anything but ordinary. It’s fully wooden construction imported from Lithuania. It’s seasonal camping style (from March to November) overnight experience for adventurous people who are walking or cycling through our beautiful canal side area or just stopping by for few nights to discover County Kildare. Small breakfast included. There is an opportunity to use steam room ( for a small fee) and use complimentary bicycles (subject of availability) The space The barrel is located behind the house called Robins Rest, Monasterevin, in the large yard and you’ll have it all by yourself during your stay. There’s 2 bunk beds but we’ll use the bottom bunk for your stay. You have the option to use coffee machine, kettle, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. Bedding and electric blankets are included. Unfortunately there’s no cooking possibilities. Toilet and shower are ten meters away in the separate building. You can connect to wifi while in the barrel - the code is written inside the picture frame. The front of the barrel has a sitting area under a pergola. Smoking is prohibited in any indoor buildings around our garden including barrel itself but no problem outside. Check in from 5pm onwards please. Guest access Your shower and toilet are in a separate house behind red door. It's the very first room with a sign “BATHROOM” on it. You should notify us of when you plan to shower, so we can turn on the water heater, which takes 30 minutes to heat up. The lighting in the yard and shower area are sensor activated so you don't need to fumble for light switches in the dark. Other things to note We would like you to enter the barrel without shoes to keep natural materials in good condition and for hygiene reasons. We provide flip flops for walking around in the yard and going to the bathroom. Umbrellas are beside the front door for use if it’s raining. Steam Room is available to use for additional cost of €20
