A hot tub to view the stars during those winter nights in our dark skies area, log burners in cottage, barn & each pod for cosy warm evenings & outdoor dining areas to enjoy the fire pits & BBQs The space THE PROPERTY To reach the property you’ll drive through the beautiful Welsh valleys before journeying through an extensive 2,500 acre forest for 2 miles before reaching your destination, where it opens out to stunning views of the valley & far reaching expanse of the Cambrian hills. You’ll have exclusive access to the 6 acres of land offering a large natural pond, woodlands, forest walks, open grassy areas, & the large flat area that is perfect for games such as cricket and badminton (supplied). Ideal for groups of up to 16-18 people based on the information below. THE COTTAGE The cosy, characterful cottage built in the 1840’s, accommodates 6 guests comprising of 3 large bedrooms and 2 fully equipped bathrooms. Bedroom 1 - Superking bed. Bedroom 2 - Double bed. Bedroom 2 - Double bed. The cottage also has a fully equipped kitchen & dining area, cosy living room with wood burner, a snug and porch with large picture window to enjoy the garden and valley views. The cottage has central heating in all rooms & additional log burner in the living room. MAX COTTAGE SLEEPING CAPACITY=6 THE PODS (x 3) POD 1 - Kingsize bed + small double futon bed. POD 2 - Double bed + single bed in separate room + small double futon bed. POD 3 - 2 x single beds + small double futon bed. NOTE: the futon beds are ideal for 1 adult or 2 children and bedding is not provided. Each pod has an outdoor rustic bathroom with hot shower, flushing toilet and hand basin. The pods are fully insulated and have log burners for a true cosy glamping experience, they have blackout thermal curtains for warmth and privacy, and USB & USC charging points (note, there are no 3 pin sockets in the pods). All fuel for the log burners in the pods is included during your stay, including night briquettes for a longer burn during the winter months. The pods are located in the glamping meadow, approximately 40-50 metres from the cottage, accessible via a short woodland path. PODS TOTAL SLEEPING CAPACITY= 9-12 (based on the above). PLEASE NOTE, TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED. THE BARN The large open plan barn has comfy sofas around a cosy log burner, large TV (with Netflix), shuffleboard table, darts board and a selection of board and card games. There is a large dining area & fully equipped kitchen and WC. The barn has central heating throughout, in addition to the log burner. A complimentary supply of logs is provided, additional logs can be purchased. Please let us know prior to your stay if you wish to purchase any logs for burning outdoors. NO SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS IN THE BARN. OUTDOORS Outside there is an undercover self heating hot tub, seating area, BBQ, fire pit and chiminea, table tennis table, badminton / volleyball net and a selection of outdoor games. There is space for 3-4 cars alongside the barn and an additional 4 spaces signposted 'glamping parking'. Please do not park in front of the gates & avoid parking on the grass verges. Please use the spaces provided & do not block the driveway. Please ensure that you have the correct number of guests on your booking, including any dogs that will be visiting. Additional guests, camper vans, caravans, motorhomes or tents, are not permitted without prior permission Other things to note IMPORTANT -Children and dogs must be accompanied at all times due to a large open pond and free roaming animals. -The heating source in the pods is a wood burner. (fuel provided). WINTER ADAPTIONS During colder months, additional night briquettes (night logs) will be provided for the pods to provide a longer burn overnight. In extreme weather conditions, the outdoor showers and toilets may not be in use, in which case, an alternative shower in the barn will be made available (as well as the WC). We recommend guests bring a torch and suitable outdoor footwear. DOGS Maximum 3 well behaved dogs, and must be included on the booking. We ask they do not go on the furniture or upstairs in the cottage. Please bring your own bedding, towels & blankets. Please do not leave dogs unattended in the property. We have ducks and pygmy goats roaming freely so dogs MUST be on a lead if they are likely to chase them. OFF GRID As the property benefits from being surrounded by forest, woodland and nature, we are not connected to mains utilities. However, we do have all the luxuries for a comfortable stay, including electricity and WiFi, we just ask that guests are mindful of this, for example switching off lights and appliances when they're not in use. There is more information on this in the house manual. For this reason, we do not provide a tumble dryer or dishwasher. There is no vehicle access to the glamping pods. TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED.
