Les Deux Voutes de Camias - Cottage in Cévennes

Gite in the heart of the Cévennes for lovers of calm and nature. After 2 years of patient and loving restoration of the old silk moth where we now live, we are renting the adjoining part of the house where we lived during the work. Children welcome :) We speak English. We are travelers who love our region! We will be happy to guide you and make you discover our beautiful Cévennes The space Ultra-functional accommodation, since we ourselves lived there for almost 2 years. Approximately 100 m2 in total, distributed as follows: - On the ground floor: the fully-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher), and the vaulted stone bedroom (queen-size double bed - width 160 cm - new bedding, changed in November 2024) - Upstairs: the large master bedroom (new bedding - queen size double bed - width 160 cm) giving access to the terrace, the children's bedroom... (or adults! - 2 beds - width 90 cm, length 190 cm so can accommodate adults - new bedding changed in July 2025), the bathroom (with bathtub, and washing machine), and separate toilets. Baby cot available in the master bedroom. Large terrace (about 40 m2) upstairs. All baby / toddler amenities available: changing table, baby bed, hiking baby carrier, bathtub, highchair, potty, etc. Wood-burning stove on the ground floor. Electric heating in the living room as well as in the bedrooms. Wood as well as heating electricity are included in the nightly rate. However, we rely on our guests to make reasonable and responsible use of this:-) Senseo coffee machine (see photo); "classic" filter coffee maker also available. Basic kit (dishwashing liquid, sponge, salt, pepper, etc.) present on site.  Guest access You will have your own access to the cottage which, although adjoining our own house, is totally independent, including in terms of its access. Free parking is available on site. Other things to note You are in the heart of the Cévennes and surrounded by nature, stars and absolute calm at night. On the other hand, you are in the heart of the Cévennes and surrounded by nature, so many stairs to expect and some insects from time to time :) You will find plenty of walks and hikes from the house (several PR and GR pass at the foot of the cottage itself). Numerous river swimming spots within 10 minutes by car. The village swimming pool, very pleasant and located 5 minutes by car, is open in July and August. You will find all amenities (health, shops, restaurants and cinema) in Vigan, located 10 minutes by car. Sea an hour away, Hérault Gorges and its canoe rides 15 min, Grotte des Demoiselles 20 min, Ganges 15 min, Vis Gorges 20 min, Anduze and its bamboo grove 45 min, Mont Aigoual and Prat Peyrot station 40 min, Cirque de Navacelles 45 min. Émilie teaches ashtanga yoga and offers individual or group lessons on request (and to the extent of our availability :-)). The hamlet will be perfect for electrosensitive people, since there are no antennas of any kind in the area. We do not provide sheets, duvet covers, towels, dish towels and other household linens (bed dimensions are listed in the listing description). No parties, stay in respect of the tranquility of the hamlet. No pets allowed; we reserve the right to refuse stays to guests who show up with pets.
