Acreman Place is a charming Edwardian townhouse, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, a few minutes from Sherborne’s historic town centre. The Abbey, schools, museum and two Castles are all close by, as are an excellent selection of unusual boutique shops, coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and pubs and it is only a five minute walk to the train station. At the back of the house is a patio garden to relax in, books are available, (exchange welcome) and fast broadband throughout. The space The front door leads into the comfortable, cosy, living room with flat screen tv this has an hdmi socket for Xbox or Playstation (not supplied). Off this is the spacious dining room with feature fireplace and plenty of books to read during your stay. There is a small cloakroom and downstairs loo off the dining room plus a large pantry and bespoke kitchen. The kitchen looks out onto the patio garden, where there is a table and chairs to enjoy your breakfast tea/coffee or an aperitif before dinner. The first floor has a spacious bathroom, the bath has an overhead shower attachment. To the front of the house is a sunny bedroom, this has a comfortable double bed, plus a pretty day bed, with a trundle bed under, these can be made up to accommodate two extra guests if necessary. A staircase leads up to the large, bright loft space with a double bed, plus a futon style sofa bed. A dormer window lets in plenty of light and has lovely views over Sherborne, to the countryside beyond. There is a desk and chairs here (with wifi) if you require quiet office space. The house is suitable for any group or individual. It is not suitable for 'party people' as it is in a quiet residential area. The Abbey is only a few minutes away, so the house is perfect for wedding guests. Other things to note Parking There is on street parking available in Acreman Place and the surrounding streets, but this is limited. There is a long stay car park on Acreman Street, which is a few minutes walk.
