Our neighborhood, the River Camp development, is in the epicenter of everything outdoors as well as the Bend eateries, cafes and pubs. Fun activities are only minutes away: < 5 MINUTES At your doorstep, literally, is a path that leads you to the Deschutes River trail which meanders along the pine-forested shore of the Deschutes River. You cross bridges, walk through wilderness, and make a loop to where you began. Cycling is a way of life in Bend. There are bike paths that venture through River Camp development that will take you directly to popular biking trail heads like Phil's trail! 5-10 MINUTES The Old Mill District has a mix of well-known shops and locally-owned boutiques, along with restaurants lining the Deschutes riverfront. Downtown Bend has terrific restaurants and brewpubs with outdoor seating well as a great selection of food carts, especially along Galveston Avenue. Downtown is dotted with quaint, locally-owned shops and unique historic architecture, with the added bonus of being right on the edge of Bend’s famous Drake Park. At Riverbend Park, just beyond the Old Mill District you can rent an inner tube, kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Or you can head upstream and float or paddle back for about two hours until you reach Drake Park then board the city shuttle for a couple of bucks and do it all over again. ~20 MINUTES With the recent opening of the Cloudchaser lift on the east side, Mt. Bachelor has become a skier and snowboarder’s paradise, with 4,318 skiable acres open November through Memorial Day weekend. Kids 12 and under ski free with parents. A few minutes further and you're at our favorite trailhead, Green Lakes Trail. Transportation requires vehicles. Uber/Lyft is available within the city. For longer term stays, we require cleaning every two weeks.
