Peace and Privacy in an Amish, handcrafted, "Barndo" Cabin. Set amidst our beautiful, historic, circa 1848, 75 acre family farm. Relax, retreat, & remember what it's like to be in an authentic nature setting filled with the bounty of all things in harmony. Stroll, hike, discover, the amazing sights and sounds of flora and fauna in their true habitat. We are a working, teaching, awakening farm that welcomes anyone of any age or interests. These barndos are inclusive in Irish Acres GlampGround. The space The Irish Acres GlampGround is set in the heart of our organic/biodynamic 75 acre family farm. It consists of 4 modern deluxe heated/ air conditioned barndominium cabins, (the CHICKEN COOP, the SHEEP SHED, the PIG PALACE and the BOVINE BARN). All are located in a private scenic site with their own outdoor patios, seating and small firepot overlooking hay fields, woods and surrounding wildflower prairie habitat. The large, shared gathering spot screened gazebo has tables / chairs, lights and full electric service. An attached covered firepit space is ideal for evening group campfires, sing-alongs and s'more roasting. Just a short stroll away is the shared barn space which has ample seating and provides an indoor area for arts, crafts, board games, cards and puzzles. It also houses a guest laundry center with a washer and dryer available for use anytime (for a nominal charge). Adjoining is the shared community kitchen and dining hall that seats 20 persons with indoor and screened porch seating. This is an ideal space for small groups who wish to cook together, share a meal or have food catered in for their convenience. The full gourmet kitchen has a refrigerator, freezer, stove/oven, dishwasher, and is fully furnished with all kitchenware, pots, pans, toaster, blender, microwave oven and coffee maker. This space is heated / air conditioned for guest comfort. The barn also houses a shared full bathroom with flush toilet, sink and hot/cold shower. Upstairs inside the barn is the HAYLOFT HIDEAWAY Suite. This small but cozy efficiency suite has two twin beds, heat / air conditioning, private toilet and sink, fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all kitchenware. Down the lane at the south end of the farm is the very private setting of the FAIRY CABIN. This off-grid log cabin 'tiny home' sits beside the spring fed stocked fishing pond and offers seclusion and serenity. It is a short stroll or easy drive to access this accommodation. There is no plumbing or electricity, but it is cozy and charming with a covered wrap around porch, electric battery candles, wash sinks, spigot fresh water jars, camp stove, firepit and port-a-potty for total guest comfort. Also pondside is the very private meditation labyrinth for guest use. It abounds with quiet, contemplative viewing of the pond and woods. To complete our fully equipped GlampGround (glamorous camping) facility we have a newly built check-in office and farm market shop. You can taste, see and purchase our full selection of onsite produced organic/biodynamic fruits, vegetables, pickles, jams, jellies, apple cider, honey, and maple syrup when available in season. We offer a free one hour fully guided walkabout tour thru our 3 acres of lovely gardens, greenhouses and orchards. All registered guests are provided with bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, dish towels and soap for their convenience and comfort. We are able to accommodate a maximum total of 20 guests per night and will do our best to make sure your visit is magical and memorable. Guest access The GlampGround facilities, pond and labyrinth are for all guest use. You also have access to stroll our rolling 75 acres of farm fields by foot. Car traffic is limited to designated roadways only. The western edge woods are not open to guests and are privately owned by neighbors who have strict no trespassing marked boundaries. Please adhere to these restrictions. Other things to note Children must be supervised at all times. No one allowed by pond without adult consent and supervision. Fishing is catch & release only. You provide the fishing poles, barbless hooks / lures and life jackets. Other non-GlampGround buildings off limits to guests. No use or climbing on any farm machinery permitted, due to safety concerns. No underage drinking or illegal activities tolerated and law enforcement personnel will be notified if in violation.
