The Cottage Self-catering Apartment with Breakfast

The Cottage is a self-contained apartment at one side of the main house. This provides a private, comfortable ground floor space for a couple, a family or a group of up to four friends. With modern furnishings, Cottage has a king sized bedroom, and a living room with two sofa beds. The kitchenette provides a kettle, microwave, toaster, a good sized fridge, crockery and utensils. There is also a dining and living area to enjoy. This rate includes breakfast at The Distiller's Arms pub. The space Whether you are a couple, a family or even a group of up to four friends, Cottage provides a private, extremely accessible, comfortable ground floor flat. It even enjoys its own parking space and outdoor bench seat. With modern furnishings throughout, Cottage provides one king sized bedroom and a separate living room with two comfortable single sofa beds. The kitchenette provides a kettle, microwave, toaster, a good sized fridge, crockery, utensils and kitchen sink. There is also a dining and living area to enjoy. House guests are entitled to 10% discount at The Distiller's Arms pub, a minute or so up the road where all our food is served - just show your room key to one of the staff members serving there. Some room rates include breakfast, others do not so please check your confirmation email and contact us if in doubt. Other meals are not included. Guest access We are based in Grasmere, a village in the magnificent Lake District National Park. There are lots of local walking, cycling and historic sites that make Grasmere one of the most popular tourist destinations in Great Britain. The village itself has an abundance of shops, tea rooms and a real ale pub. We have eight spacious private bedrooms, self-catering apartments and family suites in our lovely lakeland country house, Outside the house there is an acre of dog-friendly gardens and orchards, with a private path to Grasmere lake shore. During your stay We do not have a permanently-staffed reception or concierge. We are often around or near to the house - unless out walking on the fells - and a mobile phone number is available in the front lounge if you need to contact us. Other things to note The property has a private path down to Grasmere Lake, allowing access for swimming or paddleboarding, fishing, or just enjoying the view!
