Serene Stay in Quiet Neighborhood

Serenity awaits you at our quiet home in charming Peterborough! Located in the heart of New England, we are within comfortable driving distance from NYC, Boston and Canada. The Monadnock area abounds with restaurants, performing arts, cultural events, outdoor activities and shopping. With its spectacular scenery, each season offers endless memories, so whether you're visiting the area for a celebration with friends and family, work, or a grand adventure, we hope you'll stay with us! The space Our guest suite is located upstairs, on the second floor. The first bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, WIFI, TV with Roku, microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle and light snacks and beverages. The second bedroom, which adjoins the main bedroom through a private passageway, features two twin beds, TV with Roku, WIFI, an assortment of children's toys and books, and a rocking chair. The private bathroom is adjacent to the two bedrooms and has a step-in tub/shower combination. The bathroom closet is stocked with all the essentials you might need, including a baby bath. We occupy the rooms at the opposite end of the hall from the guest suite, but your privacy is assured. Guest access You're welcome to relax on our front porch or back deck, maybe you'll see our neighborhood deer or even a bear (!). Our dining table is perfect for remote work, and if you'd like to join us for a big game in our living room, you are most welcome. Please note that check-in and check-out times are flexible. We follow the Airbnb suggested hours, but if you need to arrive earlier than 3pm or stay later than 11am, we will do our very best to accommodate you. This is especially true for guests attending weddings, important meetings, or here for a medical procedure. We've done it many times and will do whatever we can to make your stay more relaxing and comfortable. During your stay Please come and go at your leisure. We don't mind late arrivals, in fact, we often have guests arriving after midnight. We'll make dinner reservations for you at one of our local restaurants and provide any other assistance you might need during your stay, including ironing a wrinkled shirt for a wedding or any other important detail that will help you have a successful and relaxing day. Other things to note *During winter, please park in our garage and enter our home up through the basement stairs. *We are happy to serve a light continental breakfast for an additional $25 per night during your stay. Our menu will vary seasonally but is usually pastries and toast, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, fresh berries and other fruits, and coffee and juice. Winter breakfasts might include hot steel-cut oatmeal with special add-ins such as blueberries, nuts, or cinnamon. This additional fee covers the cost of fresh food we may not have on hand and covers your entire group, not per person. * Please advise us of any allergies you might have, including gluten, nuts, pets, or goose down. * We do have two dogs and a cat but they are kept away from guests at all times. Shadow is our elderly Rottweiler mix who adores infants and children, Tommy is our zany Boston Terrier, and our very shy cat is Rum Tum. * We do not charge a cleaning fee and we do not ask our guests to perform any cleaning chores. * We have no surveillance equipment on our property or in our home. Your privacy and safety is of the utmost importance to us.
