This unique mid century modern house is perfectly placed for day trips to the beach, bike rides in the New Forest and water adventures. The space Welcome to The Withies A striking modernist 1970’s home with a light-filled open-plan kitchen and living space, anchored by a central fireplace and surrounded by panoramic views of the New Forest. The main living area sits above four comfortable double bedrooms, each a few steps down from the central space, with 2.5 bathrooms upstairs and an additional bathroom in the downstairs utility area. Large windows flood the house with natural light, highlighting its 70s exposed brick and airy design. Outdoors, the garden wraps around the detached property, offering 360° views of trees and a sense of seclusion. The rooftop terrace is perfect for alfresco dining—perched among the treetops, it feels like your own private treehouse. While the main bathroom is newly plumbed for reliable hot water, other bathrooms retain original features, adding to the home’s mid-century charm. Access is via striking open steps to the front door; please supervise children here. Guest access Guest Access Guests have full use of the main house, including the open-plan living area, bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. Please note that some rooms in the downstairs utility area and the garage are used for the practical running of the house and for storage — these will be shut off and are not accessible during your stay. Other things to note We have 2 cats at the house, they don't need to sleep in the house at night as they have a set up on the garage but they love a stroke and if you like them they will happily pop in for a nap during the day. House Rules & Notes • Check-in / Check-out: Check-in after 3 pm, check-out by 11 am (flexible where possible). • Children & Safety: The house is accessed via open steps to the front door. While striking in design, they are not enclosed, so children must be supervised at all times. • Bathrooms: The main bathroom is fully modernised with reliable hot water. Other bathrooms retain original 1960s features and may not have constant hot water—part of the home’s mid-century character. • Respect the Home: Some original plumbing and electrics remain. Please treat the house with care. • No Parties or Events: We ask guests to keep noise to a respectful level for our neighbours and the surrounding wildlife. • Smoking: Strictly no smoking inside the house. • Pets: Please check with us before booking if you wish to bring pets. • Contact During Stay: We try to meet and welcome guests in person when possible. If not, we’re available by phone or message for anything you need.
