Granny’s House on the Prairie

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay located minutes from town! Large front porch, fenced in yard (pets welcome), with beautiful views of the sunset! Step inside and feel Granny’s welcome! Minutes from downtown Huntsville and the Sam Houston State campus, Granny's is also about 15 minutes from the Blue Lagoon and about 25 minutes from the State Park. Grocery stores and restaurants are about 12-15 minutes away as well. The space Granny’s is a home away from home, or more like, Granny’s away from home! There’s a main bedroom with a queen sized bed and television with a Fire stick. There’s a second, smaller bedroom with a twin sized day bed and a trundle twin bed. The kitchen is fully equipped to accommodate long term stays to include: microwave, stove, oven, full sized refrigerator, 12 cup coffeemaker (traditional carafe style) with coffee filters provided, a blender, pots, pans, bowls, cups, plates, silverware… anything that’s not there- we can try to get you. The kitchen also has a dining room table, which seats four and a booster seat is available for use. The bathroom has both a bath tub and shower. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. The living room consists of: a full sized couch, two wingback recliners, an accent chair, a coffee table, and a television with a Fire stick. The picket fenced yard is accessible from the front yard as well as a side door of the home. Guest access The home, fenced in yard, large front porch with charcoal bbq pit, bistro table and chairs, and side porch with two chairs and a small table-which leads to a fenced in area are all accessible to you. Other things to note There is a long term rental on the same property but not directly adjacent to the house.
