The Space Our cozy home is thoughtfully designed across multiple levels to provide comfort and convenience. The spacious living areas are adorned with large windows, allowing natural light to flood the space and offering picturesque views of the surrounding forest. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare family meals, while the inviting living room offers cozy seating and a wood-burning stove for evenings together. For entertainment, the home is stocked with board games, books, and activities that kids and adults alike can enjoy. Bedrooms are furnished with plush bedding and fresh linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep, and a washer and dryer are available for your convenience. Thoughtful touches like a Pack ’n Play, high chair, and children’s toys make traveling with little ones easy and stress-free. Outdoor Amenities Step outside to discover a variety of amenities designed to enhance your stay: Children's Play Area: A dedicated outdoor space with a swing and yard toys. Activities and Adventures The Mendocino area offers a variety of activities to enrich your stay: Beaches: Explore nearby beaches such as Big River Beach and Van Damme State Beach, offering a sandy cove and tide pools. Hiking: Discover scenic trails at Russian Gulch State Park and Mendocino Headlands State Park, both offering breathtaking coastal views and diverse landscapes. Local Attractions: Visit local restaurants, boutique shops, art galleries, museums, and wineries in the area. Guest Access Guests have access to the main residence and outdoor areas. Please note that there is a small cottage on the property that is a distance from the main home. This small yard and cottage is not accessible to guests. Pet and Child Policies To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, we kindly ask that: Supervision: Children and pets must be supervised at all times when outdoors. Pets: Pets are not allowed to roam freely and should not be left unattended on the property unless secured in a kennel. This policy is in place to protect local wildlife and ensure the safety of your pets. A pet fee is required at the time of reservation. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house except the locked attic and utility/cleaning closet. Guest have access to the whole property EXCEPT the shed and cottage on the property where there could be guests. On April 10, 2025, video cameras will be installed outside the house. ****🕓 Check-In & Check-Out Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. To ensure our cleaning team has the time they need to fully reset the home between guests, we’re unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us keep the space fresh and ready for everyone. Other things to note Before making your reservation, please review the following : **Pet fee covers 2 dogs under 50 pounds. Extra dogs are $60 each, if approved. This extra dog fee is not automatically included in your reservation. *This home features a multilevel design *The fourth bedroom, designed as a loft, occupies the uppermost floor. It features complete walls on two sides, while the remaining sides are open, overlooking the main floor that includes the living room, dining area, and kitchen. This room lacks curtains and is situated at the highest level of the house. *Beginning in late spring, it's advisable to carry mosquito repellent. Mosquitoes are common in the spring, summer, and into early fall. *Pets are not permitted on the furniture, so please bring your dog's bed. Dogs may not be left unattended inside the house unless secured in a kennel. Dogs need to be on a leash when outside and never left unattended. *Please clean up after your pet and dispose of the waste in the designated garbage can in the dog yard. *Located away from the main house is a cottage that may be occupied at the time of your stay. Please respect their privacy. *We do not provide firewood for the fire pit. *Please note that the horse and goat are no longer present on the property. Thank you! Holly
