Centrally located to Acadia National Park and Downeast Maine. Close yet far enough away from the touristy areas. Stay in a quaint storybook cabin next to a rushing brook surrounded by beautiful trees. Investigate the remains of an old wood mill on site. Parking available close to the house, then take a short walk through a large field to this magical cabin. While visiting, stroll over to Graham Lake where fishing, kayaking and swimming are popular pastimes. The space A lofted queen bed is accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder. Sleep comfortably 100% cotton sheets, and a warm quilt for cooler nights. Downstairs, a couch converts to a full size bed, and an extra cot available if needed. A wood stove and dining area is complete with cast iron cookware. Outside, a gas grill for your use is available. A private firepit next to the brook is a great place to spend your evenings gazing up at the stars. This is a rustic experience. Composting toilet, water tank, and old fashion wash basin in cabin. No electricity, no plumbing, no running water except a farm sink and hose at the house and the brook for bathing and cleaning. Port a potty available during Summer and Fall months near house. Wifi available close to the house, ask for password if needed. Cell serviced is very good. Park in a large lot near our house and walk approximately 450 feet on flat ground to peaceful and private Graham Cracker Cabin! Guest access Almost 9 acres of property, the length of the brook, and Graham Lake to explore. An additional communal fire pit near the old saw mill area, a farm sink, solar outdoor shower, and a port-a-potty to be shared with other potential campsite gurests. Other things to note Please realize that this is a rustic experience. Cooking on a gas grill, wood stove or campfire. Using the brook, water jugs, or outside farm sink or shower to wash up. Using a composting toilet or port-a-potty. No electric, no plumbing. You will need a cooler for food, and bottled drinking water. We supply a large tank of water as well. Bring fishing poles and tackle. You will have to carry everything to and from the cabin from the parking area which is about 450 feet away through a flat field. we have a cart you may use. There is a YMCA in Ellsworth for showers, if needed. Also, a shower house and laudry in Otter Creek just ouside of Acadia.
