Close walk to your own private dock (2 boat slips) and boat ramps close by. Located right on Kerr Lake (aka Buggs Island). NEW for 2024; ALL NEW BATHROOM, NEW stable internet, concrete sidewalk, Solostove firepit patio, NEW hot tub, patio lights, gas grill, outdoor shower. Toys left out; wagon for hauling, kids kayak, adult kayak, paddle board, and beach chairs. The space Linens are provided for all the beds (including the pullout sofa) and bath towels. First Floor bedroom with king size bedroom (black out privacy curtains on windows). Large kitchen for entertaining with a breakfast bar (3 stools) and a built-in window bench (also with blackout privacy curtains). Also downstairs is the Full Size Bathroom with bathtub/shower (hair dryer and some toiletries provided) and sliding glass door. There's a full-size washer and dryer in the utility closet on the main level (iron and ironing board plus extra linens and bath towels). A fun and unique alternating tread staircase leads you up to the open LOFT with great views (this is a steeper staircase than normal...more like a ships ladder...so may not be ideal for small children). The loft has open balusters to below and features a queen size bed (privacy curtain added to top of the stairs and windows/blinds on triangle window and loft window). Additionally in the loft is a Full Size pull out sleeper sofa. Out back on the Trex Deck is a sectional, gas grill (there will be a propane tank there but you may need to bring your own propane or refill the current one over at Buchanan's), outdoor shower (and foot wash for coming back from the lake (turned off during the cold of winter), a 5-person hot tub, storage shed, concrete fire pit area with Solo Stove, concrete sidewalk to guide you down towards the lake (about a 500' total walk to the waters edge), and Patio Lights. Out front is a stamped concrete patio with two sitting chairs. The A Frame also has a pack and play (with crib sheet). Down at the water we'll leave out a kids kayak, adult kayak, 10' stand-up paddle board. Inside the storage bench there will be two beach chairs and an umbrella to use during your stay. The boat dock can easily dock at least two boats and there's also an extra large jetski dock. Also to note. The water level can fluctuate throughout the year and is controlled by the Corps of Engineers. Typically in the off season the water level is very low and the dock will be sitting mostly on sand. Around Memorial Day, the water level is typically at it's highest and the bottom path may even be washed out (we have a lower path and a higher path for when this happens) and/or you have to walk ankle/knee deep to step onto the dock ramp. Throughout the rest of summer they aim to keep the level at 300' which gives you an easy walk onto the dock, plenty of shallow water for guests or kids to safely play, as well as the deeper portion to swim and boat off the end of the dock. Guest access Anything and everything. We've put a lot of love into this house and plan to keep it in the family forever.....please express the same level of love and care as you stay. Private water access and unshared dock space. Over 100' of beach space too. Huge gravel parking area out front to store boat trailers and extra cars. Tons of firewood to be used in the solo stove. There's a gas grill but you may need to refill the propane tank or bring your own propane. Other things to note No pets and no smoking. We’ll provide bath towels but you’ll need to bring your own beach/lake towels. It’s a shared gravel road and most of our family owns the other properties (kids and dogs) so please drive slowly and be courteous of any neighbors you come across ;)
