Casa de Amor is a peaceful , centrally located, FIRST FLOOR apartment. It is close the the natural wildlife preserve beaches (approx. 3 min drive) . Approximately 10 minute drive to Esperanza and approximately 7 minute drive to the Ferry terminal. I can provide you with rental car recommendations if you’d like . If you're looking to relax and have a peaceful vacation please come stay with us! Please plan ahead for car rental as the property is centrally located on the island . The space Solar powered FIRST FLOOR apartment in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. The gated property is surrounded by lush green trees and vegetation . 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds , 1 bathroom with shower, full kitchen with essentials for cooking, living room with couch, a separate full size futon and TV . There’s is a small store located within walking distance for all of your vacation needs. Guest access The building is a duplex with 2 apartments , the FIRST FLOOR apartment is available for your use as well as yard and laundry facilities. The home is accessible using a key lock box . Other things to note Please buy ferry tickets in advance as they sell out quickly! They can be purchased online at Puerto Rico ferry approximately 2 months in advance The upstairs apartment is occupied . There are separate entrances to both apartments. The only area shared is the driveway, yard, and laundry facilities which are located outside. Vieques is a small Caribbean island off the coast of main island Puerto Rico and is only accessible by ferry or small plane. Animals roam freely in vieques . There will be sounds of nature such as coqui frogs, roosters and horses . Vieques is not a flat landscape, there are many hills and valleys on the island. Please consider renting a car or using a taxi if you are carrying heavy luggage or have physical limitations. Vieques is located closer to the equator. The average temperature is between 79-82 degrees , but during the summer months it may feel hotter due to humidity. Please stay hydrated and dress appropriately for the climate to avoid overheating . Hats , sun glasses, and lightweight clothing would be the best for this area . Vieques is a tropical island in the Caribbean, there are mosquitoes here , EVERYWHERE. Please remember to bring bug repellent of your choice as well as after bite care if you are sensitive to mosquitoes. During the rainy months of June through November the mosquitoes are worse , especially after it rains. We regularly fumigate but unfortunately there are still mosquitoes.
