This luxury cottage with a boutique finish is ideal for a couples' break or simply as a stylish space to relax and unwind. Designed to promote wellbeing and calm, the cottage features an enclosed private garden with a hot tub, outdoor vitality shower and seating where you can enjoy alfresco dining after a day walking through the countryside or exploring the nearby city of Lincoln. The space Built in 1789, The Retreat is a unique country cottage combining period charm and contemporary touches. A complete renovation in 2022 focused on natural materials, luxurious furnishings and original work by Lincolnshire artists. The garden is private and secure, an ideal place to relax. Guests can experience the bracing outdoor vitality shower, followed by a soak in the 4-person hot tub. Both are designed to promote wellbeing and recreate the spa experience. The ground floor features a stylish fully fitted kitchen and dining area. The De’Longhi bean to cup coffee machine, Bosch induction hob, smart TV and dining table allow guests to get creative in the kitchen in a comfortable, luxurious environment. The hot water tap, robot hoover, dishwasher, washer drier and electric blinds provide technology to keep guests' stay relaxing and chores to a minimum! Upstairs, the bedroom features a luxurious King size bed, with TEMPUR memory foam mattress and cotton bedding for maximum comfort. The wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets provide storage. The spacious bathroom includes a slipper bath, a large rainfall shower and ample storage space for guests' toiletries. The large upstairs beamed lounge includes a comfortable corner sofa for relaxing evenings complete with 2 power recliners. A 55" Freeview television with Netflix and Prime, as well as inspiring books are provided for guests' enjoyment. The Retreat is a 1-bedroomed cottage, but the lounge features 2 high quality Loaf oak day-beds which can be arranged as 2 single beds, or (when placed together), a double bed allowing 4 guests to stay in the property. Quality towels, spa products and good tea and coffee are provided. We also provide kitchen and bathroom essentials. Where possible, we shop local and we avoid single-use plastic. For that reason, labelled refillable glass jars and bottles are used. Guest access Entire cottage and garden. Other things to note Guests visiting for more than 12 weeks will be provided with clean bedding and towels and the accommodation will be cleaned at no extra cost (once per fortnight).
