Our Single-Bed Ensuite enters from the grand hallway and features single full bed with a private bathroom. This lovely room offers a space to relax with natural lighting from the courtyard window. Additional furnishings include a clothing rack, smart TV, mini fridge, coffee maker, iron, hairdryer, bed linen and towels. Please note: this room is on the second floor, and as part of our beautifully preserved historic building, there is no elevator—guests must walk up 29 steps to access the room. The space This boutique hotel is nested in a charming historical building and located in the heart of Oakland. The BART station is down the street, enabling access to other parts of the Bay. All rooms are on the second floor – at the top of the 29 steps, you’ll find a grand hallway and a beautiful courtyard with a firepit and views of the Oakland skyline. Some other hang-out spots include our cozy library and a mezzanine lounge where you can play a game of pool. This building is listed on the City of Oakland Register of Historic Sites and maintains an old-world charm with updated amenities for modern comfort. Historic buildings have quirks, and ours is no exception! Therefore, we have A/C units in each room to enable ventilation and provide earplugs to help reduce noise. We hope to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Guest access Guests have access to all common areas, including the courtyard, the library, and the mezzanine lounge. We offer self check-in/check-out. The front door requires an entrance code, which will be sent to you on the day of your arrival. Our space can host many travelers. Therefore, we ask everyone to observe quiet hours from 10 PM-8 AM. Other things to note Parking: Street parking is available around the property. The rate is $2 per hour from 8am to 6pm on Monday through Saturday. It is free after 6pm and all day on Sunday. Be sure to observe the street signs about ‘No Parking’ during certain street sweeping hours. There are also two parking garages within a block from the building for a daily rate. All guest rooms are on the second floor without an elevator. Smoking on the premise is strictly prohibited.
