Chalet in Jamaica

When you stumble on Jamaica Vermont, during the crisp sun-filled summer swimming season, you'll find yourself promptly making plans to come back for ski season too! Whatever the season our place is a centrally located and easy to love 3 bedroom, 2 bath chalet. The house has been substantially renovated with new appliances, fresh furniture and modern tech, yet it still features your favorite old school amenities: fire pit and wood stove, deck, board games, heated mud room and a warm snuggly vibe. The space The property is a 2 acre wooded lot with a generous set back from the street. The house sits high on the property with a fun grassy area in front for games, firepit and smores. Wrapping around the rear of the house are multiple decks with stairs leading down to the lawn that are easily accessible from the main floor. Kitchen, living room, utility and coat closets, a full bath and heated mud room are all located on the first floor, which is where you'll do most of your indoor hanging out. Three bedrooms, a second full bathroom and plentiful closets as well as an office nook are upstairs on the 2nd floor. Wood for the firepit and wood stove as well as trash and our firepit chairs are kept in a handsome wood shed - made locally by Jamaica cottages - off the main entrance. A large fully spruced and finished basement room will soon be a fully-stocked kid zone with games, a 2nd flat screen TV and entertainment center and overflow sleeping accommodations. The road network up the hill is full of unique and interesting homes and gardens and is very safe for neighborhood walks or inspired jogs. A gravel road heads downhill towards the center of town parralel to Route 30. We will provide a detailed list of great local restaurants, the best country stores in Vermont, stunning swimming holes and of course great skiing. Guest access The entire house except for an owners closet is available for guests. Other things to note There is a Tesla Level 2 EV charger added as of winter 2024. It is the Tesla-made universal wall connector and will work for Teslas and non-Tesla EVs. Please note that we have a ring camera that observes the driveway and front steps up to the front door. We ask that you treat our house with the same respect you would show your own. We use it ourselves and are excited for others to enjoy great visits to the beautiful and memorable green mountain state.
