Guests can also visit the attached "Multimedia Inn", which has been expertly set up to relive some of the moments narrated in the novel. The space La Casa di Prisco is a historic apartment that belonged to the Prisco family (formerly the innkeepers of the famous Locanda di Prisco, mentioned in the novel – denunciation by Carlo Levi – "Christ Stopped at Eboli"). In this house, for a short period, the writer-painter Carlo Levi, who was sent into confinement by the fascist regime in 1935, lived (the guest, upon request, can visit the multimedia and documentary museum, dedicated to Levi, with the possibility of admiring some paintings by the Turin author and seeing documents and films. The Casa di Prisco is located in the historic center at Corso Umberto I, 51. The central location, narrated very well in the writings of Levi (The Two Hundred Steps...!), allows you to visit the places of confinement and be partly guided by the host and get to know the descendants of the Prisco family; in particular the granddaughter Elvira of the innkeeper Vincenzo Prisco. Grassano, then, being halfway between Matera (City of Sassi) and Potenza, the capital of the region, allows the guest to visit other places and/or cultural and tourist attractions, as well as reach the Ionian Sea. Guest access The guest can use the entire accommodation (about 120 square meters) equipped with two bedrooms, a triple equipped with 3 single beds (standard size 90 x 200 cm), on the upper floor and a double with double bed (standard size 180 x 200 cm), on the ground floor, 2 toilets, kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances, laundry, dining room with a large bookcase, living room equipped with TV and a small relaxation corner. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and the entire house has independent heating; plus two balconies, one overlooking the valley of the Basento river and a small terrace on the side overlooking the valley of the Basento as well.
