This newly renovated holiday apartment is located in the peaceful, idyllic foothills of the Alps at 1000 m above sea level. On our active farm with dairy cows, you can experience real farm life up close – from watching milking to daily farm work. A highlight are our young animals, including alpacas, calves and piglets, as well as pigs, bees, chickens, cats and our very child-friendly dog. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature. The space 🏡 Accommodation The newly renovated 50 m² holiday apartment is spread over two levels: 1st floor: kitchen with dining area, living room, and direct access to the terrace 2nd floor: bedroom and bathroom Ideal for guests who want to combine comfort with an authentic farm experience. 🍳 Kitchen & Dining Area The high-quality solid wood kitchen with frosted glass fronts and granite surfaces is fully equipped and offers plenty of space for cooking. The extendable table for up to 6 people can also be used as additional workspace. From the window, you can enjoy beautiful views of the rolling hills of the Alpine foothills. 🌄 Terrace The 16 m² terrace with views over the Neckertal invites you to relax. Enjoy the sunset in a peaceful atmosphere, watch daily farm life, or dine under the open sky – on alpaca fur seat cushions. 🛋️ Living Room Cozy living area with a comfortable sofa (also usable as a permanent sofa bed), large-screen TV with Netflix, and high-speed fibre Wi-Fi – perfect for relaxing after an active day. 🛏️ Bedroom The bedroom combines natural materials with a high-quality sleep system. The slightly inclined solid wood bed provides exceptional comfort. A special highlight is our exclusive alpaca bedding, made from our own farm’s wool – choose your preferred warmth level and pillow height for a truly unique sleep experience. For families, travel cots and an additional fold-out guest bed are available on request. 🛁 Bathroom The modern bathroom offers a relaxing atmosphere. The comfortable bathtub with ergonomic backrest invites you to unwind, while the shower with additional rain-shower function provides a soothing experience. 🎠 Outdoor Area & Play Facilities The outdoor area offers plenty of space for both play and relaxation. A highlight for children is the large acrobatic trampoline. There is also a play tower with slide, swing, and sandbox. Additional vehicles such as a Bobby Car, pedal tractor, and go-karts are available and provide lots of fun on the farm. In the garden, you will also find a fire bowl with grill function – perfect for cozy evenings by the fire under the open sky. Guest access 🐄 Animals & farm life: On our farm, you are warmly invited to visit all animals in the stables and on the fields and experience daily farm life up close. 🚜 Farm tour: We are happy to offer all guests a guided farm tour by arrangement. ⚠️ Please note: The pig stables can only be visited when accompanied, for hygiene reasons. Certain working areas and buildings may only be entered with prior permission. Other things to note Our traditional Toggenburg house dates back to the 16th century and has been in our family for four generations. What makes our farm special goes beyond our alpacas – our cultural roots in Switzerland, Australia, and Japan also shape who we are and give the farm its unique character. This blend allows us to offer our international guests personal recommendations for excursions in the region – in German and English, and with the help of our stepmother, also in Japanese. ⚠️ Important information for arrival: Due to our peaceful location at the foothills of the Alps, the farm is only partially accessible by public transport. • The nearest bus stop is approx. 2 km away (uphill) • Bus services run hourly until around 10:00 pm • Nearest train stations: Herisau or Brunnadern • Taxis are limited (nearest taxi service approx. 20 minutes away) 👉 We therefore recommend arriving by car to make your stay as easy and flexible as possible. ❄️ Winter access: Due to our location at 1000 m above sea level, heavy snowfall can occur during the winter months. The roads are regularly cleared and salted; however, access can still be slippery due to the hillside location. 👉 During this time, access is only possible with a suitable vehicle (4x4) or snow chains.
