Beautiful construction well-lit large Carriage House. 900sqft quiet,Two sunny bedrooms, a spacious full bathroom and laundry upstairs. Open floorplan living/dining room, full kitchen with everything you need and half bath on ground floor. H street and union market easy walking distance, metro 1mile away. A large courtyard you'll share with your hosts that live in the main, separate house. Please note: we have dogs that will be in the shared courtyard, they will not be allowed in the guest house The space The spacious open floor plan ground floor has plenty of seating and great lighting making it a comfortable space to live, work and even invite guests over, with a half bath and a full kitchen. Upstairs you'll find two large bedrooms with generous closets, a large full bathroom and laundry. The home owners (me--Zan and partner Ray), and dogs (Forest, Ursa and Rozi) live in the main house which is separated from the Carriage house by a spacious outdoor courtyard which guests are welcome to use. Zan and Ray are always up for making new friends and showing you the city! We live in a fun neighborhood that is an easy distance from the city center but also easy access to get out of the city to nature trails. The D4 & D8 bus lines are one block away and get you to Metro Center in 15min! Nearest metro is a mile away, NOMA station. Or you can walk to Union Station, H Street, Union Market, Eastern Market and more! Of course, the best and fastest transport is by bike and there are lots of bike shares nearby! We have three dogs that won't have access to the Carriage house but you'll see in the courtyard, they are friendly and love meeting new friends (Human and four-legged)! Guest access You have the carriage house all to yourselves! We have all the various kitchen appliances and equipment to have fun in creating tasty food! Outdoor spaces (courtyard, front yard, walkway) are all shared-- you're welcome to use the BBQ and other outdoor fun! You are more than welcome to spend time in the shared spaces and even invite friends over (just let us know in advance please) as well as to join in any gathering we might be hosting while you're staying with us! Any additional overnight guests beyond the number in your booking MUST be pre-approved by the hosts at least five days in advance, even if it is only for one night. Other things to note You’ll enter from the street entrance, walk along the side of the main house to the separate carriage house passing by the large outdoor courtyard. You have your own doorbell and entirely separate entrance. Visitors and additional overnight guests MUST be approved by the hosts at least five days in advance.
