1930's grocery store converted into a unique one bedroom residence. Ideally located on the near east side, close to airport and downtown. Walking distance to restaurants, nightlife, music venues, shops, parks, Lake Monona, and grocery market. Bike path is right outside the door. Off-street parking. Cable TV with large screen in living room and small screen in bedroom. Owner occupies studio space with separate entrance. (Permit: ZTRHP1-2020-00007) The space In addition to the interior space described under the Guest access section, there is a driveway that is shared with the owner. If guests have two cars, let the owner know that you need both spaces. The backyard is used by the owner and is not accessible to guests. Guest access I use a portion of the Trachte for my painting studio. This area has its own exterior entrance and is separated from the private guest area by an insulated sliding door that is locked on both sides during the rental time. I use this separate space during the day. Guests have access to a private space with bedroom, kitchen, living room, and a dining area all to themselves. The Trachte is set up for two guests with a queen bed. For guests that like separate sleeping areas, There are air mattresses in the closet and extra bedding for sleeping in the living area. The couch folds open too, and the air mattress can be set on the open couch to create a bed that is off the floor. Other things to note There is a guidebook with information about Madison and the neighborhood. The guidebook will also have the wifi network and password information. The owner can be reached through the airbnb messaging or directly by mobile phone for texting and calling if there is a need to chat about any issue.
