This beautiful cottage built in 1585 offers the best of both worlds - a wonderful place to relax & enjoy the stunning Cotswold countryside, but only 12 minutes drive from the centre of Bath and all the great attractions this World Heritage city has to offer. We are proud to have received excellent reviews & top 5 star scores from our guests The guests love the cottage's character, charm and its classic features such as the inglenook fireplace, log burner & en-suite bathroom. The space The cottage, built in 1585 out of local Bath stone has been sensitively restored throughout. The living room with its beams and inglenook fireplace is a great place to relax and get cosy beside the wood burning stove. There is are also access to a wide range of books, guides & maps to local area and a new Smart TV with all Freeview stations and ability to sign into your accounts such Netflix & BritBox. The cottage also has all the usual facilities such as dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine with free coffee pods. Upstairs the master bedroom has comfortable double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower, loo & basin There is also a newly fitted second bathroom with bath and loo. Outside there is a large cottage style garden, with table & chairs if you want to eat alfresco or you can relax in the summer house. Guest access The whole cottage except for one small room upstairs used for storage. Other things to note For those who don't want to take the car. There is a hourly bus (D1) from the village to Bath which runs until late. Also the nearest railway station is Avoncliff which is just under a mile from the cottage. (And takes 12 minutes by train into Bath).
