A rustic unique Tree House on the Black River was designed for adults only who are looking for a way to be off the grid and connect with Mother Nature. The very private Tree House is perched on a hill overlooking the river. A quaint seven sided newly created treehouse has five sides of glass and screens to view the peaceful river. This is built around trees but you enter from ground level. A power pack is available to change cell phones and make coffee. Relax by a campfire at river's edge. A warm welcome will be awaiting adults only from the Tree House overlooking the Black River only a short distance from Old Forge. This is adults only since it is a tree house with lots of glass and has sharp drop offs down to the river that are not safe for children or pets. This is very friendly for senior citizens since you enter from ground level. Walls are tongue and groove pine and the other five sides are glass and screens to let you view the river from the inside. Since the Tree House is small, a private professionally cleaned and well maintained port-a-john with a hand washing station with cotton towels is located a short distance from you. There is also an enclosed woodsy private shower with two camp style shower bags with limited water heated by the sun. This could be a new experience for you since the sun is never predictable therefore, it could be a warm or cool refreshing shower. You could say it's like standing in the rain. It's all part of being in nature. We call it a "cool experience". This tree house was designed and built by the owner and has a very unique appearance. The roof lets you view the sky and trees and adds a cheerful, light appearance to the place. We provide a great four burner grill with a side burner, which has water and hand soap next to it. However we do not provide cooking and eating utensils so feel free to bring your own. Please contact us with any questions. We do provide a "Welcome Package" that includes a limited supply of Chinet dinner plates, cutlery, napkins, Chinet beverage cups, disposable cutting boards, coffee filters and a corkscrew/bottle opener. A 5-cup Mr. Coffee coffeemaker is there for you to enjoy your favorite coffee or tea. Don't forget to bring your favorite coffee or tea to brew. There are solar lights inside the Tree House and around the property. Newly added is a power pack to charge your cellphones and make coffee. There are two fire pits. One is by the picnic area and the other one is at the edge of the river. This was actually built using river rocks by our first guests at the Tree House. A tiny underground stream meets the river at this point. We are located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountain just a short distance outside the Adirondack Park. If you are looking for total relaxation experience away from the crowds, breathe fresh air, watch the river peaceful flow by and have privacy, this place is for you . The Tree House and surrounding area was designed and built for two people only to relax, unplug and enjoy the beauty of nature. Parties, unregistered guests or events are NOT permitted! We are pleased to extend our season for the fall leaf peepers and take bookings until the end of the first week of October which traditionally is a beautiful time for fall foliage viewing in our area. We have very limited heat in the tree house to take off the chill. Snuggle up and enjoy hot cup of coffee (or tea) in the morning and view the Fall beauty. It's a great and beautiful time of the year! We are only a few miles off of Moose River Rd. which is considered one of the most beautiful Fall Foliage drives in the area. We do not live on the premises but meet and greet guests upon arrival and are available by phone when needed. This was designed for adults only. Due to the sharp drop offs children and pets are not permitted. It is a very private place on Black River The is located about three miles from a grocery store, fast food, restaurants, and other places to purchase necessities. It is a very short distance to a local place to swim on the river, fish or paddle your canoe or kayak. Other points of interest are The Canal Museum, Boonville, the Black River Canal for biking and walking the the Boonville Village Park. Pixley Fall is a short drive away and features a 50-foot waterfall close to the picnic area. The Boonville area has several quaint shops and a very interesting shop at the south end of Boonville, Awesome Country, which features not only a deli but also a large selection of unusual gifts and other findings. Old Forge is about 30 to 45 minutes away. We are located a few miles off of Moose River Rd. which is considered one of the most beautiful Fall Foliage drives in the area. Wood for camp fires is for sale on the property for your convenience. You can bring your own if you prefer.
