The space When it comes to the interior, using clean lines, the architect's vision was to keep it minimalistic to emphasize the natural beauty of the stone itself while keeping the warmth and coziness at the same time. The exterior is authentic. Every single stone is a part of history, even the coal one that I dare you to find. To support the story, even the local craftsman has rebuilt the original shutters. Regarding layout, the top floor of the apartment is dedicated to a nice sitting/dining/cooking area, while the base floor is a bedroom with a bathroom next to it. The bedroom is spacious and has a very nice balcony attached to it, as well as another door to the courtyard. The living room provides a comfortable sofa that extends into a bed, providing sleeping space for 2 more people (the apartment can accommodate up to 4 people in total). Guest access You'll have this beautiful apartment just for yourself. Sometimes, but not very often, the owners are using the second apartment which is also a part of the house and is located one floor below so expects the courtyard to be shared with them. Please note that your private terrace is just yours. Other things to note Just as the name itself suggests (Skalina - a localism of "stairs"), this multi-level home requires climbing the inner or outer stairs. No worries, there are not too many stairs and they're easy to climb. The name is mostly there just to emphasize the rich history of the house and the architecture. Another thing to note is parking. The property does not have a dedicated parking space. However, there is free public parking just 200 meters from the apartment.
