Your balcony receives the sun early in the morning, which makes your awakening even more cozy. You can find the option between Twin beds or a king size bed. The bathroom also has a window with a garden view. The modern decoration of the room is due to a careful selection of materials and objects for a memorable stay. The space Adapted to tourist accommodation, this building from the early twentieth century, originally home to one of the largest traders and industrialists of the Valley of the Ave. The Grove Houses has nine rooms divided between two houses. Casa da Penha with three and Casa do Jardineiro with six, surrounded by a romantic garden of about 4 hectares that remains to this day with all its charms. It is possible to book the Gardener's House in whole or in part for family stays. Guest access The common areas of the Main House convey a cozy feeling through its large baseboards featuring faux wood, workable ceilings, and timber floors of the time. The fireplace in the living room heats up the winter days, in the reading room you can enjoy a book overlooking the garden and in the stone balcony of the dining room you can enjoy the outdoor breakfast. In the Gardener's House you can enjoy a living room with fireplace, a dining room overlooking the garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Other things to note The garden has 4.3 hectares and is essentially made up of labyrinthine winding paths, delimited by granite stones where it is possible to observe the fauna that inhabits the Ecological Reserve, with frequent sightings of rabbits, squirrels and several birds. Always with the purpose of naturalization, there are several concrete structures, imitating wood trunks. These, nowadays, are covered in moss due to the dense humidity of the winter months, and range from benches to nooks, fountains, lookouts, lake with a cave, small houses of fresh, bandstand and tower with a bridge. At the top there are huge granitic formations, the rocks, which also serve as nooks and crannies with benches and tables that emerge perfectly integrated in nature. The garden is part of the Historical Gardens of Portugal and its grove was classified as of public interest in the publication of the Official Gazette of the Republic of March 25, 2019. The garden visit is free for guests and you can use our Web App for information on existing botanical species. Upon request, we can accompany you and give you some information about the history of the place. It is also accessible to the general public on a guided tour by prior appointment.
