Welcome to our turn-of-the-century home, built in 1905. It hosts two apartments upstairs including this private-access spacious, charming one-bedroom with an open living room area and kitchen. Located less than half a mile from Platteville’s Historic Second Street, about a half mile to the nearest Roundtree Branch Trail access, and less than a mile from UW-Platteville, we are within walking distance of most of Platteville’s main attractions. The space If you love old houses, you’ll love this space! It’s got original wood trim and all the quirky charm of a turn-of-the-century home. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and the futon in the living room reclines, but really is only large enough for a small child (under 10) to fit comfortably. Guest access Your private apartment is located at the top of the stairwell, which is separate from our main home dwelling. The stairwell is the only shared space with our second Airbnb apartment. Each apartment has its own separate keypad entry. At this time, Airbnb guests ARE NOT permitted to use the walk out porch, unless in case of an emergency. Airbnb guests are also not permitted to use porches or yard for recreational purposes. Other things to note Because our Airbnb properties are part of our home, there’s a good chance you’ll hear our kids. This could include (but is not limited to) instrument practice, the joyous sounds of jumping on a trampoline, or the less-joyous sounds of bickering amongst siblings. We do our best to remind them to keep their voices and natural kid noises to a minimum when we have guests, but we want to be fully transparent so there are no surprises when you get here! We keep the apartment stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, basic cooking utensils, pots, and pans, etc. If there’s a specific kitchen tool you need while you’re here, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
