This charming 17 century traditional thatched cottage has 2 comfortable double guest rooms, with a private bathroom. A generous continental breakfast is provided at a time to suit you. There is a pretty garden & secure off-road parking. The peaceful hamlet is a short walk from Thorverton with two friendly pubs & a plentiful farm shop. The Agricultural Inn, Brampford Speke, 5 mins by car, is popular with foodies. Exeter, 15 mins, is a historic Cathedral city with a good choice of restaurants. The space Well Cottage has a double and a twin bedroom available, and a private guest bathroom. The double bedroom costs £100 per night including breakfast. The twin is £50 for one person, £100 for two people including breakfast. I only take one booking at a time as there is only one guest bathroom which both bedrooms share. It's an ideal peaceful retreat from the city; the traffic along the lane is just as likely to be walkers, cyclists or horses as it is to be cars. Fully renovated, the cottage is warm and comfortable. Well Cottage is within walking distance of Thorverton, a pretty village with two lively pubs, and less than two miles from Brampford Speke where there is a very good gastro pub. Exeter is a small, accessible city of historic interest and charm, with plenty to see and do. There are endless lovely country walks from our front door and Exmoor and Dartmoor are both within easy reach by car. The market towns of Tiverton and Crediton are nearby, as is the interesting old town of Topsham on the Exe estuary. There is secure off-road parking at the back of the house. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home in the garden: it's big enough for children to run around, and peaceful enough in which to sit and read a book. Feel free to do either (or both).
