Description
Welcome to your perfect PEI escape! This cozy, modern all-season cottage offers the peace and quiet of the countryside while keeping you just minutes from everything Charlottetown has to offer. Whether you’re planning a summer beach vacation, a fall getaway, or a snowy winter retreat, this cottage is designed for comfort, relaxation, and adventure—and pets are always welcome. The space The Cottage: The cottage can sleep seven people and is perfect for families or groups of friends of all ages. There are two separate private bedrooms, both with queen sized beds. There is also a twin bed in the loft and a pullout couch (double memory foam mattress) in the living room. There is also a full kitchen, laundry area, living room, dedicated office space, outdoor patio space and a fire pit. The cabin is equipped with hi speed WIFI (318 Mbps) and an HDTV with premium cable and Chromecast. There is a large driveway which connects the main road and can fit several cars. The Surroundings: The cottage is positioned on a hilltop in the outskirts of Charlottetown. It is surrounded by an acre of lawn and then surrounding farm fields. Even though there are houses in the distance, it still seems as if you're in the middle of nowhere. There is a motion sensor light at the end of the driveway and solar lights outlining the entire length of the driveway in the summer. The driveway is passable year round! (Not an easy feat in rural PEI) During the day there are gorgeous 360 degree views of the surrounding farmland (or snow covered fields). The west River is also visible to the North. There are unobstructed views of sunrise and sunset and the stars are amazingly bright on a clear night. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire cottage and yard! This includes the patio, a BBQ grill and the fire pit in the warmer weather. Other things to note In the warmer months, you’ll have easy access to several nearby boat launch points. The closest is the West River boat ramp, less than a five-minute drive away—an ideal spot to head out for a peaceful paddle by kayak or stand-up paddleboard. If you enjoy biking or hiking, the Confederation Trail is only ten minutes from the cottage and offers beautiful, well-maintained routes through classic PEI scenery. The road and driveway are fully accessible year-round. In the winter, you can cross-country ski or snowshoe right to the front door—one of my favourite things about this location! For groomed cross-country trails, you’ll find several options just minutes away. I always imagine coming back from a snowy adventure, kicking off the skis, and curling up on the sofa with a bag of Storm Chips. If downhill skiing is more your style, the cottage is conveniently located only twenty minutes from the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale, making it easy to enjoy a full day on the slopes before returning to your cozy retreat. I also keep a small apiary nearby and am always happy to chat about bees and beekeeping. In the warmer months, I can take guests to the apiary for a closer look—full bee suits provided for safety, of course. I leave a sample of my honey for each guest to enjoy, and additional jars are available for purchase. Registration Details 1201189
