Equipped with a full kitchen, walk next door to Ocean Seafood and purchase fresh shrimp to cook dinner (seasonal). For the adventurous, kayak to hunt for seashells on Masonboro Island, a short paddle away. Long day at the beach? Cool off in the outdoor shower. Experience the best of Wilmington, located 15 minutes to the beach or downtown. The space The waterway hideaway is a guest suite located on the first level with a private entrance accessed through the shared yard. Surrounded by water on three sides you will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful sunset views over the marsh and sunrise views over the ICWW. We do have water access through our backyard. Extras include beach towels and a tandem kayak to fully enjoy the beach life. At the end of the day there is no better place in town for stargazing, away from light pollution. We are happy to provide fire wood for the fire pit should you feel inclined to cozy up by the fire. Enjoy the comforts of home and cook in the fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. You will find a queen bed as well as a pull out, queen murphy bed to sleep up to 4 guests. On the days you need extra rest, roll the blinds down and watch a movie on the Roku TV. The property is run on septic and well water. Please only flush toilet paper. Although we do have a filtration system, please take advantage of the provided drinking water. We will provide you with starter items for all of your basic needs - linens, shampoo/soap, trash bags, paper towels, etc. to make your stay as easy as possible. Guest access Guest have a private entry with coded access. Guests have their own porch and access to the entire first level suite, along with the shared backyard and dock. Owners live upstairs with two dogs and twin toddlers. Other things to note Your friendly upstairs neighbors include a golden retriever and bernese mountain dog. Please note you may hear their furry footsteps or see them out in the yard (upon request dogs can be leashed at all times during your stay). They may bark when you first arrive, which is just their way of saying hello! We also have 1 year old twins, so you may hear them playing upstairs. We are respectful of our guests and are happy to meet you or provide privacy for your waterway getaway. Please don't hesitate to contact us with anything you might need during your stay!
