In Casa Las Caglias we offer five studio rooms with kitchenette in a unique atmosphere, with modern and antique furnishings, for short-term rental. The cottage with various common rooms, with a lovingly landscaped garden and unique rock pool, offers space for relaxation. ROOM ++++++++++++++++++++ You are booking our studio no. 6 "Liguster" equipped with kitchenette, small wet room with shower and toilet as well as SAMINA sleeping system. The space Casa Las Caglias was designed in the 1960s by the Flims star architect Rudolf Olgiati as an apartment building with rooms equipped with a bathroom, toilet and a small kitchenette. Each of the bright rooms radiates warmth and coziness with its beautiful antique wooden furniture. The house sits proudly on a rock, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains of Flims. With its unmistakable charm, Casa Las Caglias immediately captivates everyone seeking peace and quiet. We are an adults-only vacation home. Guest access COMMUNAL AREAS ++++++++++++++++++++ On the access floor there is a large antique wooden table for up to 10 people. The freely accessible coffee and tea kitchen is small but fully equipped to cook for up to 10 people. (dishwasher, oven, glass ceramic, refrigerator and sink). The large private kitchen can only be rented exclusively for group bookings. You can also stock up on information material for excursions and plan your tours here. On the ground floor, which is reached via a spacious staircase, there is a living room with TV, fireplace and a small library. From here you can reach the garden with various seating areas. The apartment rooms can be reached via another staircase, which leads to the top floor. From here, you have an impressive view of the surroundings of Films on the terraces of the studios. There is a ski and bike room in the house as well as an entrance area in which the shoes are deposited. POOL ++++++++++++++++++++ Our swimming pool invites you to refresh yourself after a nice day in the Flims mountains. The swimming pool has a unique charm. Operating times: - From the end of July to mid-September, water temperature 24°, outdoor and indoor - From mid-December to Easter, water temperature 26°C-28°C, indoor DINING ++++++++++++++++++++ Directly behind our house is the gourmet restaurant Las Caglias. A very special place with delicious dishes and an excellent wine list. All products are sourced from selected producers and local suppliers. From the restaurant you can enjoy an unobstructed view over the blue glowing water surface to the rock on which the Casa Las Caglias sits. Other things to note PARKING ++++++++++++++++++++ There are two paid parking spaces right in front of Casa Las Caglias (Fr. 16.00/night). The parking spaces must be reserved in advance and paid for on site. Other public, paid parking facilities are located approx. 200 meters away. Uncovered parking spaces at the Ballonwiese (In the period from 1 December to March 31, there is a night parking ban from 2:00 am to 8:00 am) or the parking garage at the schoolhouse for the winter months are available. ARRIVAL ++++++++++++++++++++ The yellow post bus takes you to and from Chur every half hour and from there by train in 90 minutes to Zurich. A local bus connects the villages of Flims, Laax and Falera.​ In the winter months, a free shuttle bus to the mountain railways is available to our guests. The stop is about 100 meters from Casa Las Caglias. If you prefer to walk, you can reach the village center of Flims with many shopping opportunities and the valley station of the mountain railways with a 10-minute walk uphill.
