We created Loft 5 as a quiet retreat above Headland's storybook town square - a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and feel wrapped in history and charm. From the moment you step outside, you're beneath sweeping oak trees, steps from colorful murals, live music, and candlelit dinners just down the sidewalk. The space We're so glad you found Loft 5 Headland, our lovingly restored historic loft in the heart of downtown Headland, Alabama. This space is especially dear to us, and we've designed it with romantic weekend getaways and meaningful anniversary escapes in mind. Just outside the door, the town square opens beneath majestic oak trees that have shaded this community for generations. We love watching couples stroll through the parks, explore the walking murals around the square, and gather for live music and seasonal festivals - especially Harvest Day, when the entire downtown comes alive with food, laughter, and song. Our Loft is located in a historical building that once housed a furniture store, and we've intentionally preserved its original character. You'll still see old markings left behind from that earlier chapter-quiet reminders of the stories and lives that filled this space long before us. We've paired those authentic details with modern comforts to create a space that feels both cozy and timeless. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, sneaking away for a spontaneous weekend, or simply craving a slower pace, Loft 5 is a place to settle in and savor. One of our favorite parts of staying here is walking just a few steps to the area-famous Bottle Tree Restaurant for dinner, then lingering under the oak canopy as the sun sets before heading back to the loft to unwind.
