With hotel-level amenities, luxury brand name Queen and Twin size beds and fresh linens, just renovated & climate controlled bathhouse, as well as waterfront views, the open starry sky and the views of the White Mountains, it’s the perfect place to getaway and reconnect with the things that matter. You’re about to book a Luxury Safari Tent. Ulta-comfortable, with lots of space, a large deck, this is the perfect bedroom in the woods for your special nature getaway. Inside you’ll find a comfortable room for 3 people with 2 luxury, brand-name beds Queen and Twin size mattresses, as well as fresh linens and towels. Additionally, the safari tent comes fully equipped with all of the kitchen essentials, a charging station for your devices, and a spacious dining room set. Outside the tent, we’ve got you covered with a fantastic firepit & grill, Adirondack chairs overlooking the brook, comfy hammock, picnic table and, of course, a beautiful private setting surrounded by trees, overlooking the mountains in the background. Within just a 2-3 minute walk, you’ll have access to our just-renovated, climate controlled bathhouse with designer finishes, high-end toiletries, hot showers and everything you need for your comfort while you’re staying with us. At Lumen, we’ve wanted to design the perfect camping experience – combining the peace and enjoyment of spending time in nature, sitting around the fire with your friends or family, and falling asleep to a million stars above you, while at the same time, offering the comfort of a boutique hotel. Every detail is handled and you don’t need to bring a thing other than yourself and your group. We are located in beautiful North Woodstock in the heart of White Mountains. There are tons of activities to do in the area – from fun family focused ones to romantic couple ones. And, of course, this area is well known for its nature, hiking, biking, waterfalls and everything in between. Hang out by your tent or go out and explore – either way, you’ll have a fantastic time. We’re also just 8 minutes away from the Lincoln/Woodstock area with tons of restaurants, bars and a supermarket shall you need anything. Please note and be mindful of our neighbors on the other side of the pond. A vehicle is definitely needed to get around. There are very limited Uber/Lyft options in the area (if at all), so please plan accordingly. Please note that you are booking a Luxury Safari tent in nature. We’ve worked hard to make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We are a fully contactless destination. You will receive detailed check-in instructions prior to your arrival and your accommodations will be waiting for you. If you have any questions, you can send us a message via Airbnb or text us and we’re here to help from 9 am to 10 pm. However, you will not see a front desk or a general store, so please plan accordingly. Every tent is set on its own private site and they are separated from each other by trees, but you will see other guests around you. Check-in is at 4 pm, and check-out is at 10 am. We offer an early check-in option for an additional fee, this fee must be paid and approved before the arrival. If any of the guests within the group Check-in earlier or check out later outside of the official check-in and check-out time, there will be a fine of $50 automatically charged to the payment method used for the reservation. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm - 6:30am. Please respect all of our guests and refrain from playing loud music and disrupting other guests during these hours. Heating system: For stays after September 15th we provide a portable propane heater unit inside each tent to warm up during the colder nights. Campfires are authorized by management. We adhere to all County, State and Federal fire bans and as a private campground, we reserve the right to ban fires at any time. Fires are only permitted in designated fire rings and pits. Do not move the fire rings. All fires must be attended to at ALL TIMES and must be fully extinguished at bedtime or when not present. Lumen Nature Retreat is a dog-friendly Campground. All dogs must be announced prior to the stay and the $50 fee for up to 2 dogs must be paid prior to the arrival. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per site. Other animals are not permitted. All dogs must be on a leash and under your control at all times. Any dangerous behavior on behalf of the dogs towards other guests can lead to a cancellation of the remainder of your stay without a refund. Please clean up after your dog. Failure to do so will result in a $100 fine and will be strictly enforced. Never leave your dog(s) unattended in a tent, your trailer or at your site. You are financially responsible for any damage done by your dog(s). Lastly, please note that we are not responsible for the discomforts of nature (including but not limited to weather, bugs, etc). Wear long sleeves, protect yourself against sunburn and bugs, and drink plenty of liquids while you’re here.
